Emblem is good value for money. The hotel's location is excellent: you can walk to shops around Union Square and the many eateries in the area. Because it's not huge, it feels personal and cozy. The room is clean, and the staff very helpful.

My partner and I stayed here for weekend getaway. We will definitely be back. The hotel was so cool and had a great vibe. Their customer service was wonderful, our room was clean and comfortable and technology in room was really advanced (we could stream our phone to the tv). We enjoyed drinks in the downstairs bar which is a great lounge and great customer service. The location is ideal! We parked in city parking for $40 which is less than a block from the hotel. You can walk to Union Square and lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. We highly recommend staying here.

Centrally located in SF. Great customer service and overall a pleasant stay. You could walk to union square, china town, etc from here. I would definitely go back . In fact I’m already planning my next trip in this hotel.

This hotel is located a few blocks from Union Square ... with all the major department stores, many restaurants and the cable car 'turnaround' conveniently close by. Check-in was smooth & welcoming by front desk hosts Audra & Jo-el. The giant glass crock of individually-wrapped fortune cookies atop a mini-freezer with pre-packaged bags of ice on every floor (I presume) are a nice touch and appear to be replenished as needed. The literary theme reflected in the decor and eco-friendly commitment were appealing. We re-used towels and linens which were replaced only upon request. It rained a few days during our stay and the umbrellas placed at the door for use by guests were very much appreciated!

Staying at Hotel Emblem was fantastic. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel has a great bar and coffee shop. What more could you ask for. It's also walking distance from great restaurants.

Arrived over an hour before scheduled check in and Joi at the counter was very warm, friendly and welcoming - allowed me to check in early at no extra cost, offered me a cold glass of complementary sangria -and explained the hotel, its facilities and services in detail. The room and bathroom was spacious, clean and well kept. A very nice way to start the trip!

We had a great 5 nights at Hotel Emblem! We brought our 2 teenagers for a little Spring Break getaway. The location is fantastic, so close to everything. The hotel is inviting right when you walk in and friendly staff are there with smiles to greet you. We took an early flight and didn’t expect to check in right away. They were able to do so for a $25 charge, well worth it in my opinion. The staff were very accommodating and pleasant. We enjoyed a drink or 2 at the lounge and had great coffee at the attached Bluestone Lane. Our room was on the top floor (7th), facing the back. I must say it was quite dark, even with the curtains open and the 2 lamps on. The room was small for 4 people, but we managed. I’m not sure we’d stay again as a family only for that reason. Wish we could have stayed longer! The staff was friendly, helpful and informative. The location was great - near lots of destinations we walked to. We were there on a Sunday night. Unfortunately a lot of places we wanted to go were closed on Sunday nights, but we found lots to do anyway. I would definitely stay at Hotel Emblem again! Great vibe! Great staff!

Stay here if you're going to San Francisco. It's like staying with warm and gracious friends. The front desk staff - Joi, Sonny, Mandy and Orion- are sincerely invested in making your stay happy. A welcome drink and hassle-free early check-in was a good start for us. The room was spotless and well-decorated. The cleaning staff were as friendly as those at the front desk. And the location is ideal - walking distance to Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach and SFMoma. We enjoyed meeting friends and family in the well-appointed reception/bar area.

Cool vibe throughout hotel, thoughtful decor, clean rooms, comfy beds. Nice bar, friendly staff. Car valet is handled by a third party company that is off site, but drop off and pick up was seamless. Note: It wasn’t at all as noisy as other reviews mentioned, and there was no problem getting a good night’s sleep. Will definitely stay here again.
