I am staying here for 6 nights. The place matches the description on the net. The rooms isn't large & the shower is very small. The room I booked doesn't have air conditioner & SFO has the worst summer ever. This hotel doesn't have fans...More
We stayed for three days and had a truly great time. The rooms aren`t the biggest and don`t compare to the big hotel chains but the hotel has real quality and character with many little extras that certainly make a difference.

Very cute room - this is 41 which is a deluxe with fireplace. The hotel is gorgeous, and spotlessly clean. It is also really well situated for everything we wanted to do in San Francisco. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and I LOVED the fireplace...More

Originally home to rallies supporting the Union Army in the Civil War, this grand square has become the city's premier shopping and entertainment district containing the largest number of upscale department stores, chic boutiques, art galleries and theatres in the city. It's a large open area where tourists and locals gather, watch cable cars and crowds go by, enjoy a snack, or plan their day of shopping and

My husband and I have been returning to this hotel for over ten years and we always enjoy the breakfast buffet. Each day the hot breakfast is a little different, but includes an egg dish and link or patty sausage or bacon. Boiled eggs are an option every morning as well. Oatmeal is freshly made each morning (not sure what the other reviewer's complaint was...my oatmeal was perfect 4 mornings in a row last week) condiments include brown sugar, syrup, 2 types of jam, butter, yogurt & cottage cheese to compliment the hot cereal. There are two kinds of cold cereal with milk, fresh fruit, a variety of pastries and croissants, and two kinds of sliced bread that you can pop in the toaster. My coffee was PIPING hot every morning, both regular and decaf. There is also a wide variety of tea and piping hot water (which is available 24/7). For a small boutique hotel, I think this all-you-can-eat breakfast is exceptional, and the cozy environment adds the enjoyment. Add to it the afternoon wine social and you've got yourself a great value.
