Small bar but the lovely barman was so welcoming it made it a great meeting place.
Free tea/coffee & cookies at reception area are a lovely touch. Central & safe definitely worth a visit.
Loved this hotel! Location is perfect in union square for shopping and restaurants, and you can catch the trolley right out the doors! Staff is friendly & helpful. The beds are soft and luxurious. The entire place is classic SF with its ambience and design....More
Just a great find, good room, great bed, lovely staff, I've stayed in a few hotels but this was such good value at short notice, I'll be back and have recommended to others. Sets the bar at this end of the spectrum.
What a delight. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Clean, friendly and so central. Everything was in walking or bussing distance. The room was super cozy with huge comfy bed and pillows. Ceiling fan kept us cool during the night and the super bouncy duvets...More

Originally home to rallies supporting the Union Army in the Civil War, this grand square has become the city's premier shopping and entertainment district containing the largest number of upscale department stores, chic boutiques, art galleries and theatres in the city. It's a large open area where tourists and locals gather, watch cable cars and crowds go by, enjoy a snack, or plan their day of shopping and

Strongly recommend you use the readily available and easily accessible public transportation rather than have a car in center city San Francisco. We were very glad we followed the advice to return the rental car upon arrival in San Francisco. I believe the parking facility recommended by the hotel is $34 per day and is a short distance from the hotel.
