We stayed here in 3 rooms on a family holiday from Australia for 2 nights.First visit to San Fran for all of us.My daughter picked here as it is close to Fisherman's wharf and the ferry to Alcatraz, walking distance, and parking is included. The rooms are clean and comfortable though a little dated,no fridge included but available if required. Free...

front desk personal very friendly and helpful, there was free parking, clean well furnished room, walking distance to restaurants and local attractions, I would stay there again if I were to visit the San Francisco area.

The price was way more than the room was worth because hotels were price gouging due to Fleet Week and a large Tech convention. Shame on them! We needed a room for less than 24 hours as we were taking a cruise the following day. The hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. EVERYTHING is old and worn. Check-in...

I didn't like the hotel. It looks very tired. No fridge and microwave in the room. The lamp is hanging right on the way to and from the balcony (there're no windows, just balcony). We hit that lamp all the time! No breakfast. The reception guy was trying to give us the room opposite to the elevator and a noisy...

Don't be put off by the slightly dated decor. IT'S FANTASTIC! Great location near all transit and tourist areas. Big size rooms, great shower pressure, connecting rooms if needed. Good wifi . And a great room rate. Enjoy your stay

On our way back home from norther Calif we decided to stay a few days in San Francisco. We picked the Columbus inn because it was within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, great restaurants and shops. The hotel is older but nice rooms, clean , friendly staff! No food on site but they do have free covered parking and wireless internet....

It was clean and it had free parking which is definitely a bonus in San Francisco! The location was nice and had everything we needed. We walked to Fishermans Warf several times it was an easy 5 minute walk. There is everything you need nearby.

This motel is in a great location and has parking (free) which is quite hard to find in central San Francisco, you can easily walk to many of the attractions of the city. The motel itself is not much to look at and there is no breakfast or pool but our room was large, clean and comfortable. I would stay...

We were a little hesitant to stay so close to many great sight seeing places but we were pleasantly surprised!! It is a great location and was very pleased with the room... It's not a fancy upscale hotel but very worth staying at!! No breakfast, no pool etc. But it's so close to coit tower, transamerica building, fisherman's wharf, Ghirardelli...

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
