Don't be put off by the slightly dated decor. IT'S FANTASTIC! Great location near all transit and tourist areas. Big size rooms, great shower pressure, connecting rooms if needed. Good wifi . And a great room rate. Enjoy your stay

On our way back home from norther Calif we decided to stay a few days in San Francisco. We picked the Columbus inn because it was within walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, great restaurants and shops. The hotel is older but nice rooms, clean , friendly staff! No food on site but they do have free covered parking and wireless internet....

It was clean and it had free parking which is definitely a bonus in San Francisco! The location was nice and had everything we needed. We walked to Fishermans Warf several times it was an easy 5 minute walk. There is everything you need nearby.

This motel is in a great location and has parking (free) which is quite hard to find in central San Francisco, you can easily walk to many of the attractions of the city. The motel itself is not much to look at and there is no breakfast or pool but our room was large, clean and comfortable. I would stay...

We were a little hesitant to stay so close to many great sight seeing places but we were pleasantly surprised!! It is a great location and was very pleased with the room... It's not a fancy upscale hotel but very worth staying at!! No breakfast, no pool etc. But it's so close to coit tower, transamerica building, fisherman's wharf, Ghirardelli...

We booked this hotel online for 5 people, when we arrived in our room there was only 2 beds and no sofa bed. We enquired with reception and they said that people often had 3 in a bed, we said that wasn't workable or realistic that you would expect that. We were advised that we could get a rollaway but...

Location, room size, parking, big TVs, (2 room suite perfect for family w/kids).. walk to wharf... love it. Great Chinese (Hunan)take out that delivers! Ask the front desk!

Although this place is a bit shabby, as evidenced by the lumpy carpet in my room, it's perfectly situated to explore Chinatown, North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf. The rooms are a good size and clean. Get there early as parking is free, but limited.

Perfect location for travellers wanting to be close to Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39. Everything was walking distance. Hotel was perfect for what we needed. Very clean and tidy, great to have parking also. Bed was really comfy. We read it might have been a little noisy but we had no issues with sleeping. Highly recommended hotel.

Staying in Russian Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Russian Hill
Russian Hill has evolved into a chic residential neighborhood with outstanding views from every corner. Combined with several great cafes, restaurants, antique shops and boutiques, it’s easy to see why any visitor would gladly leave their heart in San Francisco. Cars line up day after day to drive down Lombard Street, the “crookedest” street in the world, and make the slow creep downhill past charming period homes. Polk Street is the main drag in this neighborhood, where you will find trendy bars, cafes and shops populated with locals, but for one of the most charming rides in the city, grab a cable car heading up and down Hyde Street.
