The only good thing about this hotel was the room. Spacious, clean with very comfortable beds. It's not in a nice location/neighborhood. The breakfast is poor and they raised the prices over the weekend (20usd/night) without notice. That was sneaky and unprofessional. The day of the check out, the owner said he could not accept the payment from my credit card because it was used only for confirmation and we were forced to pay cash!
Nicely decorated room. The beds were really comfortable and the room had everything you need. Good hot, shower. Both the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Centrally located, a lot within walking distance, very good dining options nearby. The hotel was accessible and on arrival we were able to locate quickly, the chap at reception was very attentive and helpful. There has been some comments regarding the homeless nearby. They did not cause any issues to us and would really recommend this hotel for its location. Free parking outside our room.
Location is not best due to lot of homeless people nearby by otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Room was clean and good equiped, free parking, we had a good sleep here. Generally I would recommend this place.
I can say the rooms are decent and clean, but this motel is in a not so desirable area of the city. There are a LOT of vagrants right outside and across the street, and pretty much every direction you go. We were approached a number of times but usually once you say NO, they leave you alone. The doors of each room are outside, like a typical motel, and I know a lot of people don’t like that as you do feel less secure. There are two floors and if you get stuck in an upper room like we did, you have to carry your luggage upstairs as there is no elevator. Then again, you probably want to be on the top floor because of the area. Management was friendly, but check out time is 11am and it’s $7 to store your bags after one hour. I’m not sure if that was $7 per hour or a one time charge, but we didn’t stay long enough to find out. Honestly, depending on what conventions are in town (or not) you're much better off to spend a little more and get a much more desirable area and a nicer hotel.…
We showed up late the first night and the building was surrounded with homeless people. Random screams from people in the street could also be heard from in the room as could traffic. Wifi also did not seem to work for us. Reception was helpful and room was clean. Overall I would stay in a different area next time I visit San Fran.
Would never stay here again , Poor hotel in a terrible area of San Francisco full of weird scary people off they’re heads on drugs right outside . The staff weren’t very friendly or helpful and just purely after your money . the only positive thing I can honestly say is the room was clean . We were woken up by a girl high on drugs banging on our door about 6.30 one morning , and I was constantly bothered by low life locals nearly every time I left my room , so if you want a relaxing stay in San Francisco don’t stay here !! . Was so happy to leave !!!!!
We stayed here for a week and loved it. It’s nothing “fancy”, but at the same time the room was lovely, fantastic power shower, all clean. Great staff, hard working but always friendly and helpful. It’s a motel in an area that’s not known for being safe, but please don’t let that put you off. The area is great, lively and friendly, just use your common sense! I wish I asked his name but the young man at reception was wonderful. The cleaners were fantastic ,our room was always very clean, in face the whole hotel was clean. There’s free WiFi, and if you need anything (within reason!) for your room they’re happy to help. This European couple always had enough tea and coffee!
My friend and I were in San Francisco for a concert at The Regency Ballroom and wanted to stay nearby. Alexis Park was a great choice! It is a well-maintained, two-story building with a small parking lot in the middle. The room we were given upstairs was very clean, comfortable, and felt like home. It is walking distance from the venue, Walgreens, a pizza place, and other small restaurants. There are homeless people in the area but they don’t bother anyone. I will definitely seek to stay here again whether I travel with friends or family.
I can honestly say that we had no issues at this hotel. We had two rooms (one for my mother) who is often difficult to impress and one for myself. Both rooms were clean, tidy and adequately furnished with everything you would expect in a hotel room. Coffee machine provided and satellite tv. Was able to park my car here at no extra charge. I agree with previous comments that the area isn’t that fantastic but the hotel can do anything about that. Staff were friendly and willing to help with all inquiries. Would stay again.
Stayed at the Alexis Park for one week with family in three rooms. This is possibly one of the best 2* hotels I have stayed in, I would possibly say it was actually more 3*, given the cleanliness and standard of the room themselves. The power showers are excellent and the bed linen and towels were changed daily. Also, give the rooms come with parking, this saves a fortune over the week, given the average daily parking charge in SF is $50 The area isn’t the best, in fact, the area is swamped with homeless. But, this is not uncommon (in my experience) of wider SF, given there is clearly a homeless problem throughout SF. + Excellent Value for SF + Very clean and comfortable beds + Free parking + Family run business with excellent hospitality and very welcoming + 2* possibly under representative of standards offered Would we visit again YES and we will recommend …
