Got this room last minute as my husband and I were going to a show in the city, wanted to relax and not drive the hour home after. Small but comfortable room, nicely decorated and clean. Not sure why people have to complain about stupid stuff…if I have to complain about one thing, I wouldn’t! It’s a major metro city people, and this place is in the heart of it! It’s not a $400 room and even those places have bugs and nighttime characters all around! Lovely stay, would absolutely stay again!!

Hotel's Favourite
Really cute 36-room boutique hotel located in SoMa. The styling is retro chic, the hotel is very clean and well kept, great location, great stay rates, and parking was easy (esp. for San Francisco standards). Their attention to detail in adding little things (snacks in the fridge) to make your stay better was amazing. ...but the greatest thing about this hotel is the staff. The gentlemen at the front desk (I counted 3 during my stay) were kind, attentive, and accommodating especially when two exhausted travelers walked in to their lobby too early for check-in. One piece of constructive feedback- bigger and fluffier bath towels. But in no way did it impede me from enjoying my stay nor did it overshadow any of the other great details of this place. I was greeted with a very friendly and helpful staff member to check in. Street parking was available right in front of the hotel. It ended up being 2 blocks away from one of my favorite restaurants, Rocco's. Although there was no elevator, the stair case to head to the second floor was inside and covered. There was a microwave available in the hallway right next to the ice machine. Rooms were clean with cute artwork and decor. Highly recommend. Only warning I have is that the shower pan was very slippery when stepping in to it.

Was a great value and located 10 to 15 min away from all of our destinations. I read reviews and a few mentioned roaches but I decided to give it a try. Woke up the second night to room full of roaches!!

Although this is atypical given the fact that we keep getting our rooms serviced by working closely with our licensed pest control operators every now and then and also treating the rooms ourselves with residual chemicals every 4-6 weeks as a part of the precautionary measures to help prevent the roaches from infesting the rooms, we are quite surprised to find that this happened. We will surely look into it and get a concrete solution to this problem as we want none of our guests to be going through this problem. This property was very clean, extremely friendly staff with lots of amenities that were unexpected. Refrigerator in the room and a microwave available on floor next to ice machine. Parking was private, safe and only accessible to customers

Great customer service- we stayed in two different rooms while visiting San Francisco- we were a family of 7 and we managed to all fit (two full size beds and a triple bunk bed ) - for the price I didn’t know what to expect but I was really pleased with it all. Their attention to detail in design was apparent.

Overall the hotel was perfect. The hotel was an older style, but nicely remodeled. They staff was polite and accommodating throughout our stay. There are some homeless in the area, but the hotel has secured parking. They also had a small breakfast in the morning, and daily coffee options in the lobby available all day.

This was a great location for what we wanted to do. It was clean and quiet with friendlystaff. no elevator which wasn't a big problem for us but the hot water never really got hot in the morning. Overall I would stay again.

Pleasantly surprised when I checked in recently at the Signature for a quick business trip to San Francisco. The hotel is very fresh and contemporary - simple, quick check-in and a room that had more amenities than expected. Bright cheerful colors and modern furniture. The only downside is that there were absolutely no closet space which was not a major problem for me since I was traveling alone so I just lived out of my suitcase on the floor for two nights but it may be an issue for a couple or family (but maybe it was just the room that I had as I just needed a room for one person) Also be warned that there are NO elevators which made carrying my luggage to the third floor a bit of a challenge but that said I have a feeling that the friendly staff would be more than willing to help with the luggage. Customer Service at this hotel is as good as it gets! Neither the lack of closet space nor the lack of an elevator was a deal breaker for me. For the price point, this is an outstandingly good value, and I plan to return to the hotel on my next trip to San Francisco. Highly recommended…

Very clean and great atmosphere...your employees were great..very warm. We would definitely stay again. We also felt safe walking around and we didn't worry about our vehicle at all the whole time we were there.
