we spent 3 days there on our way to Lake Tahoe for a week. Rooms are small- even in the suites, but very comfortable and excellent service. Walking distance to everywhere- and close to transportation centers for everything else. Breakfast was better than expected.
We stayed at the Inn at the Opera a few days before Christmas to see The Nutcracker at the War Memorial Opera House. We could not have chosen a better location! If you are going to the Opera House, this is the place to stay....More

Great location, walking distance to theaters,opera and resturants.Historic and small ,very comfortable beds and rooms. Everything very clean and modernized. excelant service from everyone.Great breakfast. will stay there again.
This beautiful quaint hotel is a must! A very well maintained gem that is moderately priced and accessible to most of San Francisco. The restaurants in the area are wonderful.

I'm sure they would let you pay for your guest's breakfast. It's based on honor system. People just go to breakfast from their rooms. I'm sure the hotel won't know how many people in your party since there is no checking at breakfast. That said, I would be honest and frank with the front desk and ask them about purchasing breakfast for a non-guest.
