Nice hotel and location. The rooms are large, for SF, and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was nice but the shower area needs updating. Excellent and very friendly staff. Nice stay overall.
Our family of four (kids ages 6 and 9) stayed four nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was very large and the bathroom was huge. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Complimentary coffee and tea bar located downstairs was very nice too. Hotel is close to Union Square and tons of restaurants nearby.
The room: I had a great corner room, it was comfortable, cozy and had everything I could want from snacks and water to a fantastic view. The Staff: I cannot say enough about the staff, it was immediately evident that personnel at this hotel had something special from the doorman to the receptionists to the General Manager who I saw almost every day walking the floor and greeting guests. The restuarant was great, it was cozy, intimate and the food was delicious, as well as delightfully refreshing in presentation. If you want a special Butik Hotel experience, you must give the Adagio a chance to blow your socks off. I have stayed in Hotels throughout the US, Asia and Europe and I am here to say, this little hotel performed as well if not better than any of the other Hotels I've stayed at over the past 25 years. Adagio is my hotel in San Francisco from now on. From the Kevin the GM to door man Elias to all of the Receptionists and Evardo at breakfast and supervisor Jorge, it's a well oiled machine with just the right personality to make you feel like you're someone special. I simply cannot say enough good things about the Marriot Adagio! Don Miller…
The staff is remarkably friendly, and the location is only a few blocks walk to Union square, which has upscale SF shopping, and room is larger than most. However, the hotel is a remake of an older hotel and not done thoroughly/ completely, so that the same low height bathtub is in the bathroom while the tiles have changed ! But the real issue is that while it is maybe a 3/4 block walk to a Union square, it is one block from major homeless occupied streets. Blocks and blocks of tent cities along the street. Didn’t feel so cozy to go out at night and walk the once beautiful SF, city by the Bay. Again staff very competent but the location, grey soulless decor and trying remake of another older SF hotel which was not illustrious - is just that ! The lodging price is not commensurate with its location, and inelegance.…
I was here for a week for work and I will say had a lovely stay. Hotel is situated nicely with much in walking distance. Bar was small but comfortable and the restaurant has a nice breakfast offering. The only downside was one of the elevators was broken so there was always a wait. I would return- a great value for the money
