My husband and I were in town to attend a friends wedding and this was the perfect place to stay. Location is great with so many coffee shops and restaurants nearby but quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. The rooms are on the smaller side but this wasn’t an issue for us since we packed light. Great stay!
Nice hotel in an old building in a safe neighbourhood. Our room was very clean, beds were comfortable. Quiet at night. Easy access to public transport but also lots of nice restaurants in walking distance. Reception staff really friendly and helpful, giving us recommendations for good places to get breakfast and advice on how to pay for public transport
I used to live In Sf. It reminded me of being home. Super comfy beds and quiet place to sleep at night. Lots of options for going out at night and to eat breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend. Peaceful
We had a very nice standard queen room with comfortable bed. We loved the art and character of the building. Even though the room was small, it had everything we needed. The shower pressure was very good... almost too good!
Sure the room was on the smaller side, but I did not book a room in SF just to sit in my room. It was worth the extra money to have the privacy of my own bathroom compared to other small hotels in the area.
We stayed for one night and wish we could have stayed a couple more. We were visiting University of San Francisco. We were able to walk to campus. The area is beautiful and has great restaurants and parks. Definitely try the cafe around the corner - Beluna. The rooms were very clean and comfortable!
Husband & I Stayed in a small one queen room. We couldn’t figure out the heat so we used the portable heater that was in the closet & that was fine. Friendly check-in, clean updated bath, good towels, bathroom has a very small shower but great pressure & it has a wall mounted hairdryer. The best thing is the location is great for walking around! Just a few blocks to the Painted Ladies, around the corner from lots of great eating options. Go to Horse Feather for drinks and appetizers, That’s My Jam for brunch; coffee & bakeries on the corner! You are also a 20 minute walk from Golden Gate Park. Win/win!
Convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, rooms a bit small, but overall a great place to stay in San Francisco! We can strongly recommend the Metro Hotel, and the next-door Italian restaurant, Ragazza, was a great find too!
spent a week at the metro and found it to be excellent for booth my wallet and location. The staff were wonderful and informative. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, were merely a few steps or blocks away. Transportation to downtown is only a block away and 10 minutes to SF MOMA.
the Metro Hotel was the perfect place to stay for a quick weekend getaway to SF! the staff was friendly and accommodated all requests and inquiries during the stay. Has great coffee spots, bars, and late night eats in the area, while still being quite accessible to other areas in the city. Thank you for a great stay.
