We have stayed at this motel many times over the last several years. Once we discovered this jewel, we have not stayed anywhere else. As a person who uses a wheelchair, I can tell you that Henry The Manager is most helpful and accommodating to meet all of our needs. He is a gem! The wheelchair accessible room has always been impeccably neat and clean, with an accessible sink and roll-in shower. It's on a main bus line for easy access to other parts of the city, and has FREE on-site parking! Free Keurig coffee and sweet rolls in the morning (a nice touch). The rates are always reasonable for the season. Don't miss an opportunity to book a room at this oasis. But don't wait, they go fast!
The pictures are all accurate. It is a basic hotel that is clean and decent for a one night sleepover. We had room 204 and it was OK. Pillows were good, linens were clean, towels were somewhat fluffy. Coffeemaker, safe, ironing board and iron, large flat screen TV, and fast wifi provided and in good working condition. Everything is cramped with little space but in SF you get what you pay for. The floor under the carpet had a some soft depressions but it never fell through. Did not hear any street noise but there was one brief car alarm and also one loud engine (as cars are tightly parked in close proximity to the rooms.) The motel has about 22 rooms, mostly on the 2nd floor, above the 1st floor parking that had about 13 parking spaces (including one for handicapped). Not sure if the owner or housekeeping staff used any of the parking spaces but if you do the math, you see why they advertise is it "free but first come, first serve." Morning had complimentary juice, coffee, and Danish pastries (wrapped). There is a 7-11 nearby as well as a Jack-in-the-Box across the street. The property fulfills its basic mission, to offer a good night's sleep.…
We chose this motel based on its proximity to our son's apartment -- as well as on another relative's recommendation. We were so pleased with our choice. The location was great for our plans. The bus stop in front of motel was a big plus. Our room was spotless; housekeeping did an amazing job. For the price and location, Geary Parkway is wonderful. It might not be amazing to behold, but it is a jewel in the rough. I recommend it with no hesitation.
This was my second stay at this motel. Henry my, the desk manager, was wonderful and make my experience very comfortable. Parking in front of my room was a big plus. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, large tv, desk, table, and plenty of electrical outlets. Refrigerator and microwave are very nice to have if you don’t want to eat out. Coffee maker in room with coffee provided. This is now my “go to” motel in San Francisco. Thank again Henry.
The front desk staff as well as housekeeping are excellent! They are on par with any Nob Hill hotel at 5 times the cost. Henry, the manager, is always there to help and be of immediate service. The housekeeping staff is very professional and accommodating and leaves the room spotless and well stocked with new linens etc The only issue I had during what turned out to be an extended stay, was the noise when one has a downstairs room. If a party upstairs is loud, then those below will be somewhat inconvenienced. (this could therefore be remedied by booking an upstairs room). This motel came highly recommended by family friends and they were right!.
