We stayed here one night in the end of March 2017. The room with bedroom was OK. The furniture were not new, neither the hotel but everything was clean. The breakfast was amazing! We liked it very much. As we were in the USA we expected breakfast like this. :-)

This hotel pleased me very much. The old elevator was identical to the one that was in my dear friends' building on Sutter Street. Loved that old elevator. My room was small but very comfortable. There was even a black washcloth especially for makeup. What a great idea. I had a rental car and worried about parking. I was given...

I loved this place. Yes, room was small but just fine for me. Location was fantastic; I walked everywhere. And the place was perfectly clean, it's just old. I loved the ancient but serviceable elevator -- reminded me of my childhood! Room had a microwave and frig. I was just very comfortable!

This place was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Staff was helpful and accommodating for our week stay. Our room was incredibly small. It from my understanding all the rooms are different and different sizes. Just beware the elevator is from 1910 and super tiny!!! Not made for much baggage or a stroller! Breakfast had fresh fruit, oatmeal, toast, bagels, English muffins...

On check-in there was nobody at reception and eventually a woman came out and criticised why someone was not there. No apology. Our first room faced the road and was noisy all through the night. We asked for an inside room and this was much better. The receptionist was not apologetic and we were made to feel it was our...

We were very happy in this hotel. It is extremely central - close to Union Square and Chinatown - and that is extremely important I would say. I loved the flavoured water in the lobby and I found Jess particularly helpful with local suggestions. We had ample hot water immediately available for showers and baths. Also a nice breakfast with...

We stayed here at the start of our honeymoon. The room, although small and warm was clean and the shower was brilliant, never had a problem with hot water. Breakfast was nice, go early to avoid crowds! It was quiet and we both felt safe. The water in the lobby was perfect, a lovely touch.

This value-priced hotel is in an excellent location. Walk to Chinatown, Union Square shopping area and the starting point for the two routes for the cable cars. It is a quaint old-fashioned hotel with a small cage lift which we found amusing. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. They offer a free continental breakfast which was nice. Most importantly,...
