The Herbert Hotel was perfect for our little weekend getaway. The room was simple (minimal furnishings) and the bathroom was very clean. Just what you are looking for if you just need a place to rest your head. Even better, the hotel is located right in Union Square and the cable car is right outside the hotel.

We were in the middle of everything. The cable cars ran right in front of the hotel and the BART was two blocks away. If you're expecting the Ritz you'll be disappointed. If you're expecting a good hotel at a great price with comfortable beds you'll be very happy. Thanks to the reviews on Trip Advisor we knew what to...

We stayed her for 3 nights and found nothing wrong with the hotel well located, staff were helpful, walking distance to everything. The tram stops in front or you can walk 500 metets to the end of the line. On a buzy street but you done hear the noise. Would tecomend this hotel to friend's and would stay again.

I loved the location it was right in the middle of everything. Service was good no real big complaints there. Room was clean staff was very nice. The price for the room was fair consider the location. I feel that in the summer the room would get too hot because no AC.

My friend was running the half marathon in SF and I decided to come along for the ride and for the support. Hotel is right in Union Square area, everything was walking distance. Shopping, restaurants, and transportation including the infamous trolley was only 2 blocks away. We walked to pier 39 and got to walk through Chinatown and Little Italy...

The location is excellent and staff are nice and friendly. I got a room that's facing the Main Street and the noise does bother me a bit... no Aircon in the room but windows can be opened. Would stay here again but I'll ask for rooms that doesn't face the main street.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! We were able to check in early and they held our luggage until we were able to leave after checking...

The Herbert hotel is a Budget Hotel in the Heart of San Francisc. Accommodation in San Fran is very expensive and so we searched for a cheaper option. The Herbert Hotel was comfortable and clean, the only issue was the shared bathroom which needed a good clean to remove all the hair over the drain. location is great, next to...

This is great hotel! It is also affordable, which is hard to find in SF. It is close to shopping (H&M is right across the street), which is nice. My favorite part is that it is close to a street corner, so Uber pick-ups and drop-offs were a breeze! Our room was cozy, bed was comfy, room seemed pretty clean....

The Herbert is a small, cozy, hip, casual, no frills, budget friendly, perfect location hotel. My daughter and I stayed 4 nights, and we knew what to expect, you are not paying for the Ritz. We loved the location, and the staff was very nice. Great little hotel!
