We wee smack bang in the middle of things so expected some noise but the street performers were at it til qite late in to the night and the windows are definitely not thick enough to keep the racket out! The bathroom was immaculate and the toiletries provided were lovely. :-) It was quite hot and stuffy in the room...

Great location, central to everything however the hotel itself was a let down. The staff weren't very friendly but worse in my opinion was the state of the rooms. For the price point i wasn't expecting 5 stars but if there were any stars they were covered in years old dust and unrecognizable.

It’s true that the hotel rooms are basic but they are adequate. Breakfast is very basic as well, but sufficient to start the day. The hotel staff, always helpful and kind! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My stay at Hotel Stratford was fantastic, and will absolutely repeat if I come back to San Francisco. Yes, the hotel is rather basic in terms of its facilities, but the rooms have everything you need and they are super clean, breakfast is plentiful, there's tea and coffee available at your leisure and the location is exceptional (right by Union...

We stayed here for a few nights in October 2016. The room itself was small, and simple. There wasn't a lot of room to move about, but there was still enough space for 2 of us and our suitcases. Our room was a standard queen - note that in this room, the handbasin is in the main bedroom (only the...

Attached to the union square, the accessibility by public transport was very good. The service was matching with the price you pay. However the breakfast can be improved a bit. Overall satisfaction in my view.

Room was very modest and fairly small. We were at the street side and there traffic noise in the room was so high that we had to sleep with ear plugs. Breakfast was simple, just toast, butter, coffee and juice. However, location of the hotel was perfect. Bart train station to airport was only 200 meters from the hotel. Also...

My friend and I stayed here, needing somewhere very cheap in a good location to rest our heads for a week. It lived up to our expectations, and were even surprised about how lovely the staff were. If you are looking for luxury, please stay somewhere else. This is a budget hotel in an excellent location and doesn't pretend to...

I spent there a week and I really appreciated the hotel and above all the costumer service. I have to make a special mention to Anish who was not only a very good receptionist, always smiling and helping, but also a good person that tried his best to be as supportive and present as he could be since the very...

This hotel was recommended to me by my mom; she travels extensively and finds hidden gems often. The hotel the location is perfect as it's surrounded by wonderful restaurants, shopping, and cable car access. Jack, the gentleman at the front desk, couldn't have been more accommodating; he gave us a beautiful room and provided several restaurant suggestions that were spot...
