Great location. Just a 10 minute walk to all the Powell street shops, Union Square, and Embarcadero. We stayed for a girls weekend. Lots of shopping and eating. Pros: -Quick to get an Über -Complementary coffee and tea in the lobby every morning -lots of parking garages if you want to drive in from out of town and leave your...

My cousin recommend this hotel due to a connection through a family friend. We were not disappointed! Food from Jasper's was great! The bellboys were super friendly! And as a side note, the conditioner the hotel offers works AMAZINGLY well.

Very very cold room. Caught cold. It is too bad since hotel is in a good location. All my complaining and questions did not make a difference. They do not try to accommodate me at that hotel , The room was very very cold and could not adjust the thermostat which they admitted they were something wrong but they didn't...

Dont forget to bring your own umbrella and electric adaptor. Also, seems like they dont provide breakfast other than what you can get in related restaurant called Jasper. Food selection was VERY limited!!!

I bid on this hotel on Priceline and got a good deal--unfortunately the $25 resort fee kind of ruined that. The resort fee is not optional and is for coffee and tea in the morning in the lobby and wifi. The location is in the Tenderloin so not the best at night but a short walk to Union Square. The...

Our stay at the Serrano was so amazing that this will sound fake. The staff treated us like royalty. The room, an executive suite, was perfect for a family and the locationis close to everything. *****

Best value for location/price at the time. I normally stay at 4-5 start hotels, but SF was swamped with conf. I tried Serrano and got a solid 4-star experience. I gave nothing higher than "average/good" ratings to this survey because i compared it to 4/5-star hotels i usually stay. Minor parts of its interior are in 3-star shape. Did not...

Great little hotel in a plum location - right across the street from the big & overpriced Hilton. The Serrano was a delightful surprise - a historic-seeming hotel with a lot of character, friendly staff, and clean, quiet, comfortable rooms - and even a bathrobe provided. The hotel doesn't have a lot of bells & whistles, but it is perfectly...

We walked in to the lobby after wanting to switch from another hotel that was unsatisfactory. Serrano was having a very slow week and we got an excellent price. We really liked our room (City view queen) and found it to be of adequate size. I would definitely consider this hotel to be of "conference hotel" quality. The front desk...

Frankly rather underwhelmed. Wasn't cheap, but rooms were very in need of updating, as were the public areas. tried to apply a sizeable complementary 'resort' charge, for which you get free newspapers and hot drinks in the reception: total rip-off. Staff surly. Do offer free cycles to get around town however.
