The presentation of the hotel is great, but other than that it failed my expectations, and the price I paid for it. NOT WORTH IT. The rooms were small, the beds were hard as rocks and one of the room lacked a fully body mirror. When we got there their was no electricity, so we have to walk up 7...

Well done to the housekeeping staff at the Galleria Park. Even during the all day power outage they still managed to service the rooms and keep the hotel rooms clean and functioning, A challenging task especially in the dark! The front office staff keep us informed as to the status and made a bad situation tolerable!! Thank you

Hotel is in need of some remodeling and focused attention on making return customers feel valued. Pricey, as are all SF hotels, but value is questionable. Needs some creativity and TLC to improve the value factor.

I stayed at Galleria Park Hotel for 5 days as part of a work trip. The room was really nice - quiet, clean, and very tastefully furnished. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a bar fridge in the room and a nice coffee machine. Ample space in the closet. Good wifi speed. Close to good quality breakfast cafes and...

A lovely boutique hotel so conveniently located with an amazing staff and great service from the moment you arrive. My room was spacious and roomy. Free wine hour and nice clientele vibe. I will definitely stay there again!

The hotel is a little older but renovated in a convenient location. The service was good. The room and bathroom was very small but clean. They do not have room service but there is a cute little restaurant beside the hotel that you can eat at.

Michell the concierge was super helpful booking tours/attractions. Room size is ok. But tv image quality was appalling and found some hair in the bathroom and towels. Location is good and checking and out was fine

Galleria Park Hotel has very small rooms and exceptionally small bathrooms. Free wine in the lobby of the hotel between 5:30 - 6:30 was a nice touch but the sheer size of the rooms make the value to provided goods unattractive.

My stay at this hotel was good. The room was well sized and had good furnishings. Most importantly, i always had a good nights sleep and felt well rested the following morning. I hadn't realised that there's no dining facilities on premise. Shame really as I always prefer having breakfast before leaving my hotel.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Conveniently located in the heart of San Francisco, Galleria Park gives you easy access to everything the Bay Area has to offer to its visitors. The hotel is located with easy access to the Bay Area's central transit systems of BART, MUNI and the fabled cable cars. Within blocks are Union Square, Chinatown, the Financial District, Moscone Convention Center, and several world-class museums. The hotel is just steps away from world-class shopping destinations in Union Square--an area that is definitely a tribute to the power of shopping. Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York, Gump's and a very substantial Macy's are right on the Union Square. The venerable Bullock and Jones and Tiffany and Co. are within walking distance, as is the nine-story Westfield San Francisco Shopping Centre with its three-level Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. It is also a center for exclusive couture and high fashion, with boutiques dedicated to Betsey Johnson, Kate Spade, Herve Leger, Karen Miller, and Michael Kors. Post Street, which is a block away from Galleria Park is where the high-end stores are located including Ralph Lauren, Ferragamo, Juicy Couture, Tory Burch, Ferrari and Porsche clothing stores. ... more   less
