The Hyatt Regency is a very nice hotel. It has good amenities (including a fitness center and many different style lounge areas in the lobby). It is in the heart of downtown, so it is easy to get places, but the area around is a bit hectic / busy.

Recently stayed with my son for a quick trip to sf. Rooms were nice size. Location was great at embarcadero nice walk to fishermans wharf or if you want to take the electric bus. It was very convenient-- walkable to Chinatown. Casual dining but so many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel rooms a big and roomy. Housekeeping was...

A great location poorly managed. Takes forever to check in from disinterested staff who are more concerned about process than quality. The location is what keeps me coming back. But not for long if the poor quality persists

I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency SF many times in the last 10 years. I keep coming back. The hotel is located across from the Ferry Building at the Embarcadero. The Embarcadero Bart Station is just outside the street level south door. North Beach is a short walk. The Saturday morning farmers market at the Ferry Building is a...

It was our last day on our roadtrip across California. We searched for a room in San Francisco and ended up with a club room at the Hyatt. I think we paid in total 55$ excl VAT more compared to other rooms but it was worth it. Comparing with other hotels and b&b's that offer similar amenities such as midday...

This elegant hotel is across from the ferry building with about a 20 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf in one direction and about a 20 minute walk to AT&T Park in the other direction. The hop on/off bus stop and cable car stop are across the street. My room was on the 8th floor and had a view of the...

The hotel location is excellent, just across the street from the ferry building market place, walking distance from many good restaurants and even the Giants baseball field. It is very clean, the staff is very attentive, for the location the price is reasobable, we did not try the food in the hotel since you have so many options just walking...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
