A bit of a mixed experience here. The hotel is priced competitively for a property so close to Union Square and is smart enough visually. A first glance at the reception and the rooms has it looking high-end. Unfortunately the experience was not so good....More
We stayed at The Mosser for our San Francisco stop on our USA trip. The rooms were very small but well presented and had everything needed. Make sure you book a self contained room with bathroom/shower as there is an option to have a room...More
I stayed for one night in a room with a shared bathroom. It was clean and really close from the center where everything you need is. I would recommend for a night or two. Everything is furnished from towels to makeup remover.
I stayed here recently on a five day trip to San Francisco. I chose the hotel for its affordability in a very expensive city. I was so happy to find that it's also in such a great location! Close to shopping and the great SF...More

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized
streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.

Sorry, We take advantage of the bay area's excellent public transport, BART. and as mentioned the Powell station is close. around $10 a person/trip. From the Mosser it's a great walk to Coit tower, down through telegraph hill on stairs and ramps that go between quaint neighborhood then to pier 23 Cafe for tasty eats. We were there in crab season. if not the bloody mary's were good at the bar.
