Great choice. Hotel was very cool and once I wanted to sleep, i couldnt really tell there was a bar/nightclub outside. I think the only thing I would have changed is that there wasnt a mini fridge in the room but that's it. Great spot.

What I love: Very hip. Great history of the hotel. Great location. Lots of great SF locales are within walking distance or a short cab ride---Embarcadero, City Hall, Union Square. Great, hip restaurants, coffee shops within a block or two---including VERY affordable

Love this place. Old Motor Inn redone to be a totally hip joint which is very well located. Some colorful characters wandering the streets outside but the hotel is minutes from most destinations around the city. Only took one to two minutes to get an Uber. Front desk staff are

We really liked the artsy atmosphere, and location very convenient with rare on-site free parking. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, room clean and secure. We were only 10 minute walk from War Memorial Opera House, and walked after dark without a problem. Only issue was

Great hotel beds are comfortable and staff is very good. Location is not the best neighborhood, but there is plenty of stuff that you can Lyft to. The only downside: when it is bumping noise is an issue.

there are many homeless people in this area. i've walked with a friend to Great American Music Hall and also to Union Square with my brother (who is a big guy). You could always Uber/Lyft if you were not comfortable.

neighborhood is the tenderloin, but property is very safe and extremely unique. The tween and teenager will probably really dig the decor.

Do you have a disable room I have a walker frame
The first floor rooms of the two story hotel are on ground level around the pool. You should be able to enter the room with a walker. It might be noisy, however, due to guests using the pool during the day and reveling in the evening on the pool deck.

"all rooms open to the courtyard with pool view - cabanas are first come first serve"
"all seemed to be good"
"I'd guess second floor might be quieter, but I've always been on first floor. I always travel with earplugs either way."
"All rooms look out to the balcony, it isnt a great place for people who need peace and quiet. It is a rockers hotel after all."
