We decided to do a weekend trip to San Francisco from Maui, Hawai'i and chose to stay at the Marriott Marquis San Francisco. I stayed here back in May this year and had a wonderful stay so we decided to go back again. We loved our spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The service was spot on at the Front Desk and from all of the associates we encountered in the hotel. Can't wait to come back again to the Marriott Marquis next time I'm in San Francisco.

This is a very mediocre property. Spent four days here for my first in-person conference in 20 months, and while I appreciated the strict Covid safety compliance, and loved rejoining my colleagues, this hotel itself is inferior. The lobby is cold, the rooms mostly cramped and almost unpleasant, and zero dining facilities on property – no room service, no restaurants, simply a “grab and go” when it is open. Sadly the number of homeless on the adjacent streets makes walking around unpleasant and uncomfortable; hard to feel good buying expensive coffee at Starbucks when such sadness prevails. This is not a place to take your family, this is not a place to have a romantic weekend, I do not advocate for this as a conference facility either. Seems to be an airline hotel. That said, the views are great.

Plus points - Friendly staff, location, view Negatives - Just about everything else. ‘Suite’ was terrible - felt like a converted warehouse with cheap very uncomfortable, IKEA furniture. Having seen the view I would choose just about any other Marriott property when next in San Francisco.

I want to give this hotel a 3.5 but I’ll round up to a 4. We spent a total of four nights at this hotel. Our first night was a Thursday night and we had a room on the 7th floor? It was horrible! I could hear all the outside traffic all night long and barely slept! The room was spacious and clean though!! It had a tub shower but the water pressure was horrible. In the morning I made a complaint and that was offered was I could get a higher floor for an additional $30 night. I took it because I needed my sleep. We took a room on the 27th floor. Room 2733 was our room for three nights! It had a walk-in shower and was smaller but little to no noise! Much better. The hotel had a buffet breakfast! Kids under five eat free. Adults were $30 each. The breakfast was really good and we went twice. Our room was cleaned daily. The water pressure was slightly better in this room. The hotel is large! I think there are 39 or more floors. The location was good! Our We were able to use Lyft tans Uber to get around from this location quite easily. Lots of food and shipping options around!

Room Tip: Parking is located across the street that’s lot cheaper than the valet!

Clean, efficient, nice staff, good location. I’d absolutely stay here again. Our room was newly renovated, everything was in perfect condition. The floors can me a maze and it can be a long walk to your room. We are healthy and it didn’t bother us, but if you have mobility issues, request a room closer to the elevators. My only complaint is the rooftop restaurant is WAY over priced, even for San Francisco. I paid $18 for two Shirley Temples for my kid. No free refills apparently.
