We spent 5 nights here in room 3648, a corner room 3 floors from the top of the hotel with a view of the city and the bay. Spectacular. With 2 queen super comfortable beds, and just a few rooms on this floor, it made for an exceptional stay. The room had new, clean furniture including a bar, snack box,...

This hotel is a great choice for business trips or to just a short visit to SF. The location is perfect - close to all the nice Downtown areas and shops. Hotel has a nice bar on 39th with a great view. Downside.. Expensive (valet $87 per day).. but I guess that is more or less the same for all...

Great place, unfortunately was unable to take advantage of what they had to offer - pool or restaurant. Valet parking on site, I think there is self parking nearby. Bistro for quick on the go salads/sandwiches was convenient. Very comfortable room with nice views, great location. Would absolutely stay here again and am looking forward to it.

Stayed for two nights at a very reasonable breakfast inclusive rate. Well maintained old hotel with good view from higher floors and specially from sky bar @40th floor. Rooms and bedding comfortable like any marriott marquis. Breakfast was good. Close to convention centre and Union Square.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during a conference. I got put into a wheelchair accessible room, so it was very spacious. The bathroom had a lot of room, for wheelchair obviously. The bed was comfortable and the view of the bay was great! The staff all are very courteous. Lobby is nice with convenience store and a...

Excellent service started from the moment we walked into the lobby. The check-in staff was able to find us a room with early check-in with no advance notice from us. We were given a quick tour of the hotel setup, and provided a map of the local area with suggestions for places to go. We walked through chinatown, to lombard...

Was visiting San Francisco with my wife. Staff were courteous and attentive from our first arrival until our departure. Appreciated getting a room upgrade to corner room with great views. There are lots of interesting restaurants in easy walking distance from hotel. We took a cab to pier 33 in morning to do Alcatraz tour and then took a leisurely...

This hotel was centrally located to everything.... shopping, coffee shops, restaurants, scenic areas, etc. I visited this hotel because of a local convention and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the facilities were. It is a spacious hotel and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately, while there for the week there were significant issues with the internet connectivity thereby affecting the...

We recently went to a Raiders game and stayed at this hotel. The location was great easy access to restaurants and shopping. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem was on Saturday there was construction going on and it sounded as if someone was drilling a hole over our room. I brought...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
