I travelled to SF by business and was accomodated in this hotel. The room was a regular quality & size for such hotels (no complaints). What makes this hotel outstanding is the new 2-floors gym. They have 20 or more treadmills and plenty of all other equipments (a small minus is the only one and in fact wrong rowing machine,...

Stayed here for 5 days for a conference. Wouldn't choose this place again. The lobby has more comfortable seating than the room. Two beds but only one comfortable chair. Go figure. I sat on the bed for 5 days. Very expensive. $70/DAY for valet parking. Don't bother with the "green program" foregoing room cleaning. We got $20 in vouchers for...

Everything about the Marquee is well done, from check-in to concierge, to room appointments (including the tablet computer that allows you to quickly get answers to questions and order extras for your room) to the large number of outlets for charging your electronics. I selected the option to NOT have my room cleaned during my stay and quickly figured I...

Great stay, very nice, clean, great staff and service! Good location, only the parking was a pain, but that the city not the hotel. Park next door off site! Great stay! Nice upper rooms in the tower, big TV, and tablet with the room. Internet was fast. We had a great stay there!

I have stayed in Marriotts (mostly in Europe) and found the decor of this hotel quite dated. They still have artex ceilings in the bedrooms!!! The Executive Room was an okay size, not huge. Comfortable but nothing special. I have had a lot better for a lot less. Our room was on the 18th floor and relatively quiet except for...

I was given a corner room and i had such an amazing view! The room was spotless and had a full compliment of shampoos, creams, and Potpourri soaps that was a hit when I brought some home! I ate in the restaurant down on the 2nd level and i to this date have not had a flavorful and fall off...

I spent one night in this hotel and get at the top of this hotel at the bar. The panorama you got of San Francisco, especially at night, made me speechless. The room was clean and pretty cool as well.

Firstly, the service at this hotel is great. The staff were cheery and helpful against an onslought of convention attendees all checking in at the same time (thank goodness I could use the elite line) My room was a typical marriott with some pluses and minuses. The view was stinky (overlooking air conditioning units) but the towels were bigger than...

Make sure you sign up for Marriott Rewards before you go for free WiFi. Stayed here for two nights - ended up on the 19th floor so no noise for me during the stay. Room was nice and most importantly clean. My big complaint (and honest consideration for 3 stars) is that the View bar was closed for a private...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
