I have stayed at several hotels in the Union Square area and the Donatello always manages to be my favorite. It's not glitzy or showy but it has very large rooms and incredible service. My room had a king bed, couch, chair and all the usual bells & whistles. My only concern about the room is that the bathroom is...

I pricelined a room here, and liked it so much that I stayed an extra day! The rooms were very clean, with a flat screen TV and DVD player, small fridge, microwave, big comfortable bed. Central location close to many things. Excellent happy hour at the hotel bar with half off appetizers and drink discounts. Expensive parking is the only...

We stayed at the Donatello back in June on our first trip to San Francisco. The location is excellent - close to Union Square, and within easy reach of the main sights. The bar staff were friendly and introduced us to Anchor Steam - which became my husband's beer of choice for the rest of the trip. The only criticisms...

The Donatello Hotel has offered my wife and I an excellent value for our buck. With clean rooms, an attentive staff, a restaurant and bar onsite. We have been staying at the Donatello for the past five years on our annual visit to the "city by the bay". One block from Union Square, a trolley ride to Fisherman's Wharf. theaters...

The staff is immediately welcoming and the rooms are well appointed and very roomy and comfortable, The location is within walking distance of various tourist attractions and many good restaurants . The public transit system is also easily accessible. I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

I agonized over which hotel to choose in SF, but was delighted with the Donatello. (Truly, I'm not one of their Time Share customes; nor did anyone solicit me to join.) The room was nicer than I expected - storage in the TV armoire, a dresser in a separate closet area, and the small kitchen area (microwave, small fridge, some...

A good time was had by all. Thats what my husband and I had to say about our last trip to SF. We stay in the Donatello - which is so pefectly located to everything. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and have everything you need already there. The bed deserves its own sentence: COMFORTABLE!! We'll stay there everytime.
