We stayed in the Donatello Hotel for 4 nights. The location is amazing. 2 blocks from Union Square and 4 blocks from the Market Street where all the public transport is. The hotel has good service with friendly staff. Rooms are clean and bright and are cleaned daily with towel and sheets changed everyday if required. Free Wireless internet in...

We flew from Vegas to San Francisco with our daughter. We chose the Donatello as it seemed to have a spacious rooms with fridge microwave etc. Just what you need when traveling with a toddler. We weren't let down. The room was great if a little dated, it had cable tv and DVD, large sofa and easy chairs. The hotel...

This was a 2week timeshare exchange, our first to this hotel. First impression of the room was that a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. That was the only minor grumble in the entire 2 weeks. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Given it's location in the heart of theatre land street noise was barely perceptible even at weekends....

It has a little San Francisco charm along with sophistication. Everyone is there to asist and make your stay one you will not forget. I for one have stayed there many times and will return. I am also a former resident of the city and find this a great find.

Came to the Donatello four years ago with my family and found that it was great. Good location, quiet with a large room that the four of us could share happily. This time it was just me, meeting a friend on my way to the UK. When I arrived the room was dirty. I was tired so I didn't want...

Sometimes you find a jewel in a big city, and Hotel Donatello is it. The room was spacious well appointed, clean, charming and full of surprises. There was a kitchen area with small frig, microwave, dishes, wine glasses, silverware, everything you need for a late night snack. Happy Hour at the bar on the 4th floor had great 1/2 price...

The Donatello is the only hotel that I book when I travel to San Francisco. It is in a perfect location near Union Square. The rooms are lovely, well appointed, very clean, extremely spacious and the bed is incredibly comfortable. In addition, for the value, the room rates are wonderful. I've stayed at hotels that charge much more and are...

Located one block from Union Square, Tiny lobby, fairly friendly staff. Room was on 14th floor as we were in the "Club" part. Rooms are large and relatively well appointed. Decent TV and DVD player. Alarm/radio. Tea and small coffee filter maker. Housekeeping is variable. I suspect this is just America and may be related to our European lack of...

We picked this hotel from the reviews on TA and we are so glad we did. It can be quite daunting finding a hotel in a city you don't know so we decided to look at the top 10 on TA for San Francisco and then looked at value and location and I have to say that The Donatello was...
