Enjoyed a Sisters Long Weekend in SF. Great central location for site seeing. Ordered in room service a couple of times and was very impressed. Room was comfortable and clean. Has a couple of shortcomings like the bathrooms are low due to light fixtures so be careful hair blowing the top of your head if you are over 5'2". Wifi...

Thank you for your very kind words about the hotel. I'm pleased to hear you and your sisters had such a nice visit. I'm sure ordering room service all weekend was a nice treat and especially while enjoying the view of the rooftop garden. Thanks again and we hope to welcome you again in the near future. Sincerely, Lucas Schumacher

Stayed for a long weekend. The hotel was perfect: comfortable, quiet, luxurious, very clean and filled with friendly employees. There were great places to walk to an easy distance from the hotel or the cable cars meet right outside the hotel. For fun, check out the Tonga room and the historical parts of the hotel!

We stayed 2 nights at the Fairmont on our honeymoon. First the positives- the staff are excellent. Everyone we came in contact with was so polite, friendly and professional. Chelsea at reception was especially lovely and on leaning we were on out honeymoon gave us a room upgrade and a complimentary bottle of wine which was really appreciated. We asked...

The location is really great except that it is on top of one of the steepest hills in San Francisco, Nob Hill. That is just exhausting. There are both CaBle Care lines just around the corner and Buses a few blocks away. But down the hill you're only a few minutes away from Union Square. The hotel staff is very...

Thank you for your kind words about the hotel. I can certainly appreciate your feelings about the hills. They can be challenging to climb, but they do afford us some of the most stunning views of the City and Bay. I'm also pleased to hear you found the hotel staff so helpful. Service is what can separate a good stay...

Amazing experience. Rooms are clean. Hotel staff is polite. The location is great and safe and easy to get to the Trollys. We did cab it or uber it alot since we did spend the whole day out and were too tired to walk up the hill. Overall its an amazing hotel to stay in

Full disclosure I love the Scarlet Huntington too, BUT if you can get a Tower Room here at the Fairmont, GO! If you are near the holidays, prepare for crowds but it is so much fun. Really an historic and lovely property with room views that are unmatched.

What a beautiful hotel. Old and charming. It is in great shape. The peopl working in the hotel are very pleasant. The hotel is located in a spectacular part of town. Close to Fisherman's wharf. Some great restaurants. The trolley cars go right by the back door. We throughly enjoyed our stay here. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Although we live in San Francisco, we decided to stay at this hotel the night prior to our wedding so we can get ready and not being distracted with things to do at home. Staying in Nob Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
