This small hotel appears old and small from the outside but is very quaint and proper on the inside. The service is top notch and friendly. The restaurant on the ground floor is surprisingly good but be warned that it's closed on Mondays. The location of the hotel is good in a relatively quiet area within walking distance of restaurants....

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 15 February 2017

I just came back from SF and had to write about this gem. I found it on Booking.Com for an amazing rate. After checking them out on Trip Advisor and reading the history on it (read about them on their website; they survived the 1906 earthquake/fire), I booked a 5 night stay. I was NOT disappointed! I had asked for...

Got lucky on a last minute rate - we upgraded to the Master King suite and could not have been more comfortable. Nice ambiance, I liked the details if a bit on the gilded side, the living room was complete with fireplace and enough room to actually relax in front of the fireplace. Over all a Large room & big...

Hotel employee Maria was very kind and was able to give me great advice on what to do during my trip. Great location, and hotel was clean. Got a nice room. I ordered online and my room was ready when I checked in.

We stayed here in 2015 with my parents and were impressed enough to book our Christmas here for 2016 - BIG mistake. We opted to use the valet service for our Mustang, long story short their valet drove it around town for over an hour on 2 consecutive days! In doing so they incurred damage to our pride and joy,...

Sir, with all due respect, we fully compensated you -- in good faith -- for the repair of your car based solely on the estimate you sent us even though you did not actually get the car repaired nor did you establish that our valet in fact did damage your vehicle as you claimed. Moreover, in the spirit of the...

So the wife books the Majestic Hotel in San Francisco for my birthday. She didn't tell me about the history or the beauty of this place. In the heart of San Francisco you'll find friendly staff, clean rooms and a bit of mystery on the 4th floor.

We stayed recently for 3 nights but would not stay again in the future. There were pros- great location in order to easily get around the city for sightseeing. Cons: room was very small, no central a/c and the window unit a/c was hidden behind the curtains so our first night arriving after 6 hours of flying meant we were...

ERRIBLE! Save your money, go elsewhere. Stayed here three nights and it was a total nightmare. The first night I stayed the staff knocked on my door / called my room at least 5 times to ask if I wanted $35/night valet parking (which I refused over and over). The bed was very uncomfortable there was no AC and the...

This classic European-inspired boutique hotel is just a short ten blocks away from the Union Square shops and restaurants of Downtown. Located in the Pacific Heights neighborhood, our quiet surroundings offer a conveniently located romantic escape from the many noises of Downtown San Francisco. With royal bedding draped over the four-poster beds, plush carpeting, soft seating, accent furnishings, and beautiful artwork we aspire to provide only the best for our guests! Our bathrooms are just as unique as our guest rooms! Magenta marbled wash basins, brass faucets, extra large mirrors, antique decorative lighting, textured wall coverings, and of course claw-foot tubs with full-length goose neck showers to preserve the glamour of the Majestic. Recently renovated with modern comforts, all our guestrooms are equipped with flat screen televisions with premium channels, complimentary Wi-Fi, elevated pillow top beds with soft duvet covers and cool pillows, a snack basket and honor bar for purchase, hairdryer, electronic safe, iron and ironing boards, bath robes are just the standard amenities that come in each guest room! ... more   less
