The hotel is fine if you are looking for a comfortable room, well serviced hotel. If you're looking to experience a hospitible service and the luxuriousness of the JW brand - you wont get it here. On the plus side 1. Great location very close to Union Sq. 2. Good gym & the best thing was they laundered your gym...

We really enjoyed our stay at the JW Marriott :) The room was well presented and very clean. The staff were all polite and helpful. We had know problems with noise and we were within easy walking distance of union square and the trolley cars. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting San Francisco.

I stayed here for a few nights recently, in a Junior Suite (#1422). I had requested an early check-in, on arrival at 2pm was immediately allocated a room. This was tucked away in a corner, effectively insulating it from any internal noise, with only the odd typical city noises (e.g. sirens) heard from outside. Perhaps the decor was a little...

I always expect JW to be one notch above regular Marriott. Initially I stayed in Marriott Marquis in SF and then moved to JW Marriott SF and I was disappointed. First of all I checked in late and then went for dinner and finally when I went to sleep late in the evening, i found mosquitos in the room and...

Beautiful and very large hotel. Great breakfast, huge selection. Personnel was wonderful. Large and comfortable room. Great location. You can hop on a trolley car, bus or electric bus right near the hotel. These will take you to the wharf or to other areas in the city.

We stayed at the JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square in July. We are Marriott members and have stayed at quite a few different Marriott hotels all around the world. This was a typical JW Marriott. The hotel was very nice and extremely clean. The staff was very professional and went out of their way to be nice to us....

The hotel is in a great location and easy to get to from the BART. Other than that there really isn't much that is special to say. The hotel is nice, but it should be at the price point that you pay to stay here. Unfortunately I felt like they tried to Nickle and Dime your for everything else. Bottled...

Stayed here one night prior to attending a conference at the Fairmont. Be aware, guest services/lobby is not on first floor. The guest services/lobby area is dimly lit, in a swanky, sensual way. The design is reminiscent of an Embassy Suites, on steroids! The location is near shopping, entertainment, dining. Wish the conference was at JW because the walk to...

Had a great stay here. The area where the hotel is located is very good, near Union Square. You are close to a lot of shopping (including a mall), restaurants and the San Fran Cable Car stops. The area felt safe and more upscale. Hotel itself has a very unique design, from every floor you can look down and see...

My family and I stayed at the JW and found it to be a very nice hotel. It's located in an excellent spot to gain access to transportation around the city. The Concierge staff did a fabulous job with finding us 3 Alcatraz tickets when I couldn't find them anywhere on the internet. The Bell Staff at the front door...
