Kuddos to Austin, Ethan and Jonathan for making our family's first visit to San Fransisco outstanding. From dining recommendations - Fish and Farm and Jaspers - to navigating the city, they were super helpful. The Monaco staff even helped us resolve a rental car challenge. Overall, the hotel was beautiful, rooms were just as pictured and clean, too. Wifi worked...

The lobby and rooms in this Hotel Monaco are quite nice. Just two things to note. 1) the hotel restaurant is currently undergoing renovations. They offer fruit and pastries but you have to use tickets. Seems Kind of tacky for a relatively nice hotel. 2) the location isn't the best. There were numerous vagrants in the area. Be prepared to...

Dear WCDeb, Yes, our restaurant is under renovation until January of 2015. Until then, we do not have a restaurant or bar or any room service options available. There are a plethora of options we can recommend within walking distance. Overall, we can’t wait for our restaurant to reopen. Thanks, Jason

We stayed at the Hotel Monaco for three nights in August. Good points 1. The service is first rate. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble - from printing out car rental vouchers to directions. 2. We were given free continental breakfast each day. This wasn't included in our rate. 3. As it was our anniversary, the hotel...

We just returned from our 4 night/5 day visit to San Francisco . It was our first time staying at the Hotel Monaco (we have previously stayed at one of the large chain hotel right on Union Square). We were so very pleased with everything about the Hotel Monaco! First, the location is only 2 blocks off Union Square, so...

We stayed at the Monaco in early August and what made our vacation even better was the excellent service we received from the front counter staff. Every recommendation that they made was spot on. Lauren Gruber was especially helpful and needs to be recognized for providing outstanding guest service.

I stayed here in August on a trip to California and loved it. The hotel was clean and well decorated. The lobby was cool. It was in the heart of everything. We stayed here as a family and had two rooms. Both were exceptional. The bathrooms and rooms were big and so beautifully decorated. I saw a couple in the...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Monaco the last week of July. It was our first visit to San Francisco and we were there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. This was our second stay at a Kimpton Hotel this summer (The Angler's Miami Beach is the other) and once again we could not have been happier...

Dear SimonFLA, Happy belated 30th anniversary. I am honored that you chose to celebrate such a momentous occasion with us. And I really appreciate that you specifically mentioned Jackson and his commitment to our guests. It sounds like Ethan, James and Mose filled in the best they could in his absence. Thank you for the compliments and we hope you...

Perfect size, lovely staff, beautiful (and fun) lobby and seating areas, free wine hour every night with a different winery's wines each month, nice coffee service in the am, clean and cheerfully decorated rooms - not large but large enough. Dear Maverick2004, We always love to hear that people would stay with us, again. That is a high compliment in our book. You are correct that our restaurant is changing. After 19 years, we closed the doors on the Grand Café on August 1st. We will be reopening in early 2015. While we are sad to see this institution go...

I have stayed at various hotels in SF for either personal or work visits. Club Monaco is by far the best one -- service, location, decor, value. There is nothing I would change about the hotel. It has an old world European feel when you walk in the lobby, but everything else is modern. Great design in the rooms, good...
