The Inn at Antietam is a real gem. Very recently refurbished by the warm and welcoming hosts, this colonial era building's rooms each have their own modern and yet solidly traditional charm. Located right on the Civil War battlefield, the Inn is a great starting point for discovering all of the nearby historical heritage or just to get away for...

A terrific B&B located only an hour and a half from downtown D.C. Perfect for weekend getaway. Located conveniently right next to battlefield. Hosts are a wonderful couple. Place is newly renovated and food is delicious. Highly recommend!

We absolutely fell in love with this charming B&B, having had it booked by my niece for friends and family attending her wedding in nearby Hagerstown. The house is elegant, beautifully appointed rooms, and Miriam was the perfect host--so friendly and accommodating to our "festive" group. She had prepared a delicious homemade dessert spread when we arrived back from the...

Thank you for such a lovely review--it's greatly appreciated. We are THRILLED that you're returning! We have our requests ready for the jam session. It was such great fun with your family and I am ready with the fresh bread and goodies for the upcoming 60th!

My now husband and I were planning a small wedding in Hagerstown for January. We were looking for a place that not only would host our families for the evening, but somewhere we could gather after the reception. I had envisioned a warm homey living room with food, beverages, and of course a jam session with the family musicians. The...

This Inn is run by a young couple. They are very friendly and helpful. We had the Antietam suite which was originally a kitchen but now a very nice room with fireplace and en suite and a loft with extra bed. The king size bed a super comfortable! Breakfast is freshly cooked each morning with freshly baked bread and eggs...

We arrived late in evening in the Shepherdstown/Sharpsburg area on a weekend night a couple of weeks ago. After dining at the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown we attempted to check in at that establishment, but there were no vacancies. The desk clerks were kind enough to phone the Inn at Antietam and much to our surprise and delight Miriam and...

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Inn at Antietam. Will and Miriam are the perfect B and B hosts. They are welcoming, gracious and provided lots of great information about where to go and what to do. Miriam's amazing breakfasts kept us full until dinner. Everthing from the French press coffee to the home baked bread was delicious. The...

We spent a wonderful extended weekend at the newly renovated Victorian bed and breakfast of Will and Miriam, a couple of warm welcoming happy and funny dropouts from Wahington DC. Our room was just like the other three rooms spacious and cosy - in fact we had a spareroom with our room so calling them suites would be more appropriate....

I absolutely loved staying at the Inn at Antietam! The B&B is in a great location right next to the cemetery. There are a couple of places in Sharpsburg itself that you can walk to and have dinner, or you can drive to Shepherdstown for more choices. The house, both inside and out, is clean and immaculate. Miriam is a...
