As usual good times nice campground full hookups. Great place to have base camp and adventure out from there. Great view of the Apostle Islands. This place is great anytime of the year. Even when the weather isn't cooperating there are plenty of shops to go to in and around the area.

We chose this campground primarily due to its close proximity to town. We were here off season, so found it to be very uncrowded and quiet. Some of the sites are closer together so may it feel more crowded when it is full. Our site was back in the trees and bordered a creek behind us. We found the owners...

I enjoyed this campground as it was very quiet at all times and we were surrounded by trees. Most of the campgrounds in this area, have the policy of who first comes gets a spot to the campground. However, no one can be certain that there would be a place available! However, the Apostle Islands Area Campground gives us the...

I enjoy camping most when not crammed in a site very close to neighbors, and in the part of the campground we were at, sites are close together. That being said, the campground, a throwback to the 50's and 60's, is well maintained, clean and quiet, and we were busy doing other things in Bayfield and beyond. I would stay...

We were assigned site #33 which was beautiful. It was level and felt private because of surrounding trees and other vegetation. We didn't use the facilities or park, but our site was very clean. We had paid in advance for 3 nights, but it turned out we were only staying 2, so we have a credit for a night to...

We stayed here for a night. Only cash or check payments are accepted (no credit/debit cards). The owner assigned us a campsite instead of letting us choose one. The campsite assigned to us was decent, but not entirely flat. One of my friends had trouble sleeping because of this. What we found most disappointing was that the owner's behavior towards us...

We spent for nights here earlier this month. Overall Park was clean. Staff was helpful friendly. This is not a great place for young kids from a park standpoint. The kids play structures are old. We did not like that we had to pay for the shower, although I am sure this saves water for them. This park is in...

This was a nice campground for a weekend stay near the Apostle Islands. The owner, Sam was really funny and nice to talk to. The bathrooms were clean, however you had to pay for hot water in the shower, I think it was around $1.50 for 5 minutes.

“Hot showers are charged $1.50/5 mins. IMO, this place is suited only for families with kids and older people.”
