Ashley and I had been driving for nearly 14 hours to reach our destination in Harper's Ferry, the day after Christmas. We had seen pictures of the little town; a blast from the past, but nothing quite compared to seeing it in person. We slowly turned off 340 at around 1 am onto the foggy Shenandoah St, having just crossed...

Did you ever dream of staying in a cozy historical town, and have your delicious breakfast cooked by a celebrity chef? If so, go to Stonehouse. The inn keeper looks exactly like Zach Galifianakis and is a great conversationalist, chef, area expert, and comedian. Just plan a trip and go for the great bed and breakfast experience and location. Hiking...

This is an excellent location for exploring Harper's Ferry. Location couldn't be better. Right in the heart of the tiny historic town. Parking is perfect. The price is right. The breakfast was abundant. It isn't a stuffy place by any means and that's why I say it's fun. I mean, you have your room, your bathroom and your breakfast. Simple,...

Just went to the Stonehouse B&B this weekend and it was great! My boyfriend and I were looking for a quiet weekend away and the Stonehouse did not disappoint. We stayed in the newly renovated room and it was lovely. Very rustic and cozy and a great place to go after hiking all day. The owner Chris is very relaxed...

Our stay at the Storehouse was very pleasant. Our room and adjacent bathroom were very good. Roomy, clean and well furnished. The breakfast the next morning was excellent and the service of the owners was also very good to accommodate our bikes and information about where to eat locally.

This B&B is under renovation/expansion but it doesn't impact your stay at all. Very, very clean. No noise to speak of. Awesome Signature breakfast in the AM! This B&B is worth the not very expensive room rate. It you love children and dogs, you may get the bonus of visiting a bit with the owners child and their dog. And...

We very much enjoyed our stay at Stonehouse B&B. Chris is Leisel are wonderful hosts. NOTE: This is not your typical, doily-filled B&B, which is one of the reasons we liked it so much. The location is fantastic. You can walk to everything in town and around the park. Speaking of walking, this B&B is geared toward folks without mobility...

From the very first email to the moment we walked out the front door, we felt like we were staying at a good friend's home or a family member (that you like). We stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect. We booked the top floor, which my husband loved the view being the train fanatic...

We stayed in the Gray room and it was huge and decorated in the nice antique way to help you enjoy your stay in an 1830's home. It did have air conditioning and a ceiling fan though to help stay cool. The bathroom is in the hall with a large clawfoot tub and is dedicated to the Gray room so...

Ok, so just maybe the commuter train belies the quiet; though Chris and Liesl provide soft earplugs for the more sound-averse among their clientele and, perhaps, restaurants closing at sundown in mid-October take some of the luster from the Stonehouse's central location. These become minor cavils after you've slept on as comfortable a mattress as the one in the Gray...
