This is a spectacular place to stay if you are a couple getting away or you have several days to relax, but not really for two people needing a place to rest from the GAP ride. After carrying your bikes up the spiral staircase to the bridge in harpers ferry you would have thought you were pretty close.... But no....

The house is cozy and eclectic. Our room was spacious. There is great attention to detail by the Innkeepers. They give you an extensive orientation to the house on arrival. The breakfast was gourmet! There is a train nearby which did not bother us at all even with windows open. Perfection!

Gorgeous craftsman/mission decor, panoramic views of the Potomac and Maryland Heights, scrumptious breakfasts and late afternoon snacks: just three reasons that Laurel Lodge is the place to stay in Harper's Ferry. A little off the beaten path, but that just means it's quiet and you can walk to Washington Street in less than five minutes and then stroll to the...

Stayed 2 nights with 2 other couples at Laurel Lodge. The lodge is a lovely b and b in Harpers Ferry, just a bit of a walk to the little "downtown" area. The lodge is large and lovely and beautifully appointed with lovely furniture. The hosts Chris and Ed are welcoming and accommodating in every way. They provide many amenities...

Truly an outstanding B&B. The house is beautiful, the view from the back porch is stunning and Chris was the perfect host. The rooms were nicely appointed and the housekeeping is meticulous. The 3-course breakfasts were stellar - on our last day, we had homemade coffee cake, roasted grapefruit and a frittata - wow !! We hiked the Maryland Heights...

Everything was perfect. Rooms very clean, food was excellent, views were beautiful! Chris was attentive to all of our needs and very helpful. If you are coming on bicycles, it is at the top of a 3/4 mile hill, but it was worth it.

Wonderfully comfortable rooms, we even spotted the bald eagles upon our arrival. The owners had chocolate strawberries, a rose, and sparkling lemonade waiting for us. The breakfasts are fresh, local, and delicious! The house itself has a fascinating history. Plus, we were able to easily walk to downtown Harper's Ferry. I would absolutely stay again!

We had an amazing time at Laurel Lodge. The view from the porch alone is worth the stay. Breakfast every morning was delicious and we loved the use of local foods. Chris was very helpful in recommendations for restaurants, hikes, and anything else we were interested in. Don't miss doing the walking tour of Laurel Lodge it was fun and...

A most extraordinary experience that we won't soon forget...graciously appointed rooms (parents with a stunning view of the river, kids tree limb Pendleton blanketed double beds). Robes, flashlight, glass pitchers of water at our bodies, umbrellas! And a killer breakfast straight out of your favorite food magazine! Chris was great, and the perfect, history expert host,

Wonderfully appointed rooms, superbly and smartly laid out...the parents room with a wonderful view of the river and beyond...and for the kids, two twin size, Pendleton covered wood beds. Nothing was Forgotten, flashlights, umbrellas, robes, water in glass pitchers in the room at the ready. Lastly, the breakfast spread that Chris brought- is every reason to be proud of! Think...
