We were turned on to this place by our son who designated it his favorite place to stay on his southwest trip. It was ours as well, but be prepared for an 18 mile ride out of Moab. It is located near the base of the La Sal Mountains so part of the 18 mile trip is upwards. It is...

Morris' Last Resort is a varied group of homes. Each seems to be very different from the others. You should not consider the review unless you know it is the cabin you are considering. This review is for Sunset Cabin. It is a 2 bedroom, two bath mobile home wrapped on 3 sides with boards. Ground squirrels or other animals...

Management response:

A "cabin" by definition is a house situated in a wild or remote location. The Sunset Cabin is located in the La Sal mountains just outside of Moab. The solitude, beauty and peace that is found at our mountain cabins is almost unmatched in the rental arena of Moab. Our location is unique and the pricing is very fair. Yes,...

We stayed in the valley southwest cabin. It was fine for two people (maybe 3, if it's a young child.) Road noise wasn't too bad. Can't imagine staying in the ones closest to the road. Only an 8 minute drive into Moab. Only complaint, the bed is too soft. I would stay there again.

I stayed here with my husband and teenage daughter. It's a cozy cabin south of Moab with a nice view. It has a small kitchen and grill outside to cook meals. It seemed pretty clean, except there was an odor when we first went inside. They allow pets, so I'm guessing that's where the odor came from. The futon was...

This cabin is our to go to cabin when we visit Moab. My husband and I have a 4-wheel 4-Runner and we put her to the test in Moab. That said, we've been going there for years. The last time, two years ago, we happened upon this resort. We fell in love. My husband and I won't stay anywhere else....

We adored Southwestern Cabin 2! What a charming little place. We had ample room for just the two of us and enjoyed incredible stargazing in the modest backyard (even with the nearby lights). The cabin kitchen amenities were great. Although we were close to the highway, the traffic didn't bother us at all and we enjoyed the easy access to...

We spent 4 days in October at the Pioneer II cabin in the La Sal Mountains. What a great location and great stay! The aspen on the mountain were turning a bright yellow and the weather was wonderful. That made out morning coffee on the porch looking at the mountains a perfect start to each day. The drive to and...

If Morris' Last Resort is not your FIRST call when booking a place to stay in Moab, it should be! We had our 8 month old baby with us and the room was PERFECT!! The place was clean and organized, full kitchen (perfect for the 3am bottle- needs), stocked bathroom and even filters for the coffee maker!! The Southwest cabin...

Well managed, clean! Our arrival was late in the day, at dusk after many hours on the road. My spouse had made the reservation quite a bit earlier. We were totally unprepared for the l o n g, steep drive to the Pioneer 1 cabin. Our fault! This cabin is approx 18 miles southeast and a 3500 ft elevation gain...

We loved this place. It is remote, quiet, clean, and refreshing! The views are beautiful! It is about 15-20 minutes outside of Moab and that suited us well. The kitchen is fully equipped. The porch and balcony were great. A fire pit is available outside.
