If you want to be close to Badlands National Park, this is the place to stay. Nothing spectacular, but it was clean and very close to Badlands NP and the Ben Reifel Visitors Center. The only place to eat is at Cedar Pass Lodge a mile or so away. The only other options are at Wall 20 some mile away.

The office was closed when we arrived, saying "back at 4:00." We returned at 4:00, only to be left waiting out in the heat for 20 minutes, with no apologies. Our first room had a clogged up toilet. They offered us a different room (#25) that had a big pile of bird doo right outside the door, which I declined....

We stayed here for one night in August 2016. We were already familiar with the area because we stayed at Cedar Pass Lodge down the road in June 2015. I selected Badlands Inn this year because it is a little cheaper than Cedar Pass Lodge. I was very pleasantly surprised by Badlands Inn - we like it a lot! It...

Since there are FEW options in that area, we were a little anxious about staying there. But....the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and room was cool. Location is perfect for driving through The Badlands. You wake up and truly feel like you are in the middle of it all. Glad we took the chance and stayed - a fun...

Great place to stay when visiting Badlands. There are chairs along the walkways, and picnic tables out front to sit and watch the sunset, which was incredible with the Badlands as a backdrop. And then we drove all of maybe 3 minutes to go to the night program inside the park. Room was fine, bed was comfortable. The sun shining...

We were really nervous after reading the reviews... And even tried to cancel... BUT Thank Goodness we didn't! The tried to cancel = the reason why it wasn't 5 stars. Word to the warning... You must cancel 48 hours beforehand. Which, we called around 36 hours... So. We had a 3rd room which we really didn't need... But took advantage...

Staying on the second floor without an elevator made out stay less than a 5 rating. And the restaurant close by leaves something to be desired. However this hotel has beautiful views of the badlands and the park. It was so easy to jump in the car and get on the road into the park and see the scenery. Our...

I was reluctant to stay here after reading the reviews but decided to anyway. Yes, some of the building needs some minor work. But I found the room to be very clean and the staff to be friendly. It is a simple room, but functional. There were several flies in the room, which given the area I will cut them...

I was concerned about staying here from some of the reviews I read, but I was surprised that it was actually a good stay. Yes, it's older, but it was clean, smelled good, nice sheets, and very convenient. If you're on a budget, this is a good place to stay. We'd stay again for sure.

This hotel is located about a half mile from the entrance to Badlands National Park and it has a view of the badlands from most rooms. It also has very little competition in this area. That's why people stay here. The rooms are adequate but not great. The breakfast is also adequate but not great. But we didn't stay here...
