What a well kept secret! This campground was such a beautiful surprise. Small, but the views are breathtaking. Very clean, and the lady in the office was a real peach. Definitely planning my next trip back. Need a few days to do Asheville right.

We chose this campground because it had really good reviews and above all because it is small. We prefer to stay in "boutique" campgrounds and avoid at all cost the mega chains. The reviews were outstanding and they did not disappoint. The campground is 8 miles from Asheville downtown, set on a mountain with amazing views. You can choose the...

The is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing week with a gorgeous view of God's creation. We were in camped in P8 and had a wonderful relaxing week with the most amazing view! Jason and all the staff here are so friendly and helpful. We have always loved Asheville, and this place, so close and yet so removed is...

This place has got the most amazing views! We stayed in a yurt with our 5 year old. She loved it but be aware that if you are coming with here with kids, there is not a lot to do for them. The campground consisted more of retirees with huge campers. If your kids can be content with nature like...

Really enjoyed visiting the area, lots to do and great places to see. Camping on the mountain was a great way to visit, and what a view from the campsite. Have to take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, if spending a few days. Breathtaking!!! Folks wrote about the drive up to the campground being difficult. I envisioned much...

My husband and I went camping with friends in another campsite not far from Campfire Lodgings (which we loved) but we were cabin-bound due to the rain. Good friends of ours said we had to visit Campfire Lodgings, so when we checked out of our campsite, we took a drive over to Campfire Lodgings to see if it was something...

We stayed on an uncrowded night and were thrilled with the view and the relative solitude. We passed the RV part, and were pleasantly surprised at the feel of isolation and privacy just a short ways up the hill. The campground was clean and quiet. Our phone interaction and greeting upon arrival were pleasant and informative. The view of fall...

We love coming here, it's our favorite Campground in Asheville. Jason could not be anymore hospitable and always available to help. The bathrooms are clean and warm for those chilly nights. The views are breath taking! Shopping is right down the hill and you are not far from the Biltmore. We come at least twice a year.

We arrived in a 45’ coach with a tow. Scariest half mile I have ever driven in it. I highly recommend dropping the toad before turning into the mile climb and using the toad as a scout vehicle. There is a spot at the side of the road about ¼ mile from the entrance. Calling immediately prior is probably a...

In a large RV, this was a frightening journey up (and down) the hill. Road is skinny and full of twists and turns. The campground property was very nice. RV spots are tight to back in to, and may take several forwards & reverses. Large rocks and trees limit your space to maneuver. Turnaround area was nice and big enough...
