Definitely no frills but quiet... the bed was so uncomfortable though, and the pillows were tiny and flat. I should have booked at the bigger and newer Hilton Garden Inn and Suites next door for a much better nights sleep. No continental breakfast due to COVID and no daily housekeeping services. No restaurant in the hotel. The cabinet had two broken drawers that wouldn’t close and presented a safety hazard when walking by (room 303). Bathroom was nice. Good shower.
Not a very good hotel, partly due to COVID restrictions. Wifi was slow at 3.5 Mbps down, 2 Mbps up. The hotel is hard to get in and out of due to the busy highway. This hotel was not serving breakfast or coffee/tea due to COVID. I chose this hotel brand because I like their breakfasts, which they ended up not serving. The Ingles next door is great. It serves coffee and breakfasts and has a dining area and has fast Wifi. I spent time getting my work done at Ingles instead of in the hotel room.
From the value, comfort, cleanliness to friendly staff this hotel is doing it right. No breakfast (COVID 19) but plenty of restaurants close by to choose from. Easy access to Shopping, Arboretum and Blue Ridge Parkway. I felt totally safe as a solo traveler.
We stayed here for one night on our way back home from Indiana. The hotel was clean, the lady at the front desk friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. Lots of places to eat, and plenty of places for shopping nearby. I highly recommend Moose Cafe (country cooking) and the WNC Farmers Market (crafts, snacks, souvenirs).
This Country Inn & Suites was very clean. They are in the process of remodeling, so no more carpet in the rooms! Yippie! It was quiet even though it's on a busy street. The staff was very helpful, very personable! This is our 2nd stay in the same place.
