I was in Asheville briefly, bringing my daughter to college, and I was lucky to stay overnight at this fabulous B&B. The room was comfortable with a beautiful bathroom, great mattress and plush bedding. The proprietor, David, was friendly and accommodating. The gardens are gorgeous,...More
Friendly staff, great breakfast, wish we could've stayed longer! Location was great, Uber fares to downtown were cheap. The house and room all have great character, and we loved the front porch for relaxing after dinner.
The grounds and garden were beautiful. The breakfast on the front porch was tasty and charming. The room had everything we needed. The hors d oeuvres and wine in the evening were a nice touch. Will come back again. Loved the experience.

The police have told me that no one has been robbed or assaulted on the streets of Five Points anytime recently. That said, the recent construction of a shopping center that backs up to Holland Street, the favored neighborhood route downtown has made that route a little foreboding for one block. Shopping center management has immediate plans to clear and landscape the back side of the center, but it has become so overgrown that for now it can feel a little like a jungle while walking by there at night. Walking on the major streets to downtown, Merrimon and Broadway, is safe, but neither are pedestrian-friendly.
