Three couples stayed at the Princess Anne Hotel on our way to Fripp island. We each had a suite room and were welcomed by a bottle of wine, preordered to our preferences, and a lovely cheese board waiting for us in our refrigerators. The neighbor hood was walkable with a seafood restaurant and bar near bye. In the morning we enjoyed a wonderful full breakfast served on linen table clothes by a waitress following covid precautions. The hotel has a fun history and was tastefully appointed. I would definitely stay as this lovely hotel again!

Hotel's Favourite
Historic Inn oozing with charm. Convenient, safe parking behind the Inn. Can’t say enough about the staff - they were all friendly, helpful, and engaging. Breakfast provided was ample and tasty - 4 options available and two were vegetarian which pleased the other couple traveling with us. Wine and appetizers provided each afternoon were quite nice. And the homemade cookies/brownies provided throughout the day - heavenly. The chef/baker here is just exceptional. Remember this is a historic inn so yes, the floors creak. Our bedroom tv was on the side wall so yes, you had to look sideways. No, it doesn’t have a magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom. But the friendliness and expertise of the staff - and the great baked goods - more than makes up for any non-modern inconveniences.

Hi RonC979! Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It's great to hear you were able to enjoy a lot of the amenities we provide at the Princess Anne Hotel. Chef Ness is fantastic! I always, very much, enjoy the brownies...probably more than I should. I'm happy to tell you I have just ordered magnifying mirrors for all the rooms. I always appreciate hearing from our guests. Thank you for that suggestion. We hope to see you again!

Loved this place. Beautiful, well cared for, great staff, fabulous breakfast, good location. The little details in the room made all the difference (like ear plugs by your bed, and terrific toiletries in the bathroom), would love to stay here again. Breakfast is marvelous and changes daily. Our compliments to the chef. The chef goodies in the lobby through the day were a nice touch. I am now addicted to molasses cookies👅

I am recently divorced and learning how to date/love myself. So I decided to take a trip to Asheville for my birthday and found Princess Anne online. Despite the awkwardness of being alone (for the first time in 20 years) I was pretty amazed by the Princess Anne. The hotel staff, historic nature of the hotel, reading by the fireplace and my own reserved table for breakfast were all super amazing. I felt like I was part of a family ...

I echo some of the responses I have read about this place. Super friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast every morning and the afternoon wine and charcuterie board made it even more special. Special kudos to Rachel at the front desk, who not only offered dinner options for our anniversary, but also informed the wit staff who had a nice chilled bottle of Champaign when we arrived for breakfast the next day. And Mary was a wonderful server, making every guest feel special. We'll be back!
