I love Oakland Cottage B&B. My boyfriend and I drove down Friday night, and unfortunately were not able to meet Christine, but she gave us very clear instructions on how to check-in, and we had no problems. The room was very charming, clean, and cozy....More
Great place for a relaxing get away with very cozy, peaceful and comfortable rooms!
Located just minutes from downtown Asheville.
Christine and Dale are most gracious hosts and very accommodating.
I would have to rank the breakfast meals with 5 stars. The food is excellent!...More
Fantastic stay, already planning to come back and stay at Oakland cottage again! We looked forward to breakfast each morning! Amazing food!!! The room was clean and cute, close to everything. $6 Uber ride to downtown.

Thanks for your inquiry. I do not think it is an easy walk to the main/fun part of downtown. It is just a little too far - about 1.5 mile to the Orange Peel (music hall), 2 miles to downtown's Pack Monument (I consider this monument to be town center). I recommend driving and parking in one of the garages. All the garages are free first hour, $1.00 each hour thereafter (except for special events - $7-10 ea visit).
