We stayed for several nights in the Hummingbird Room. The appetizers were just amazing (so good that we bought Susan's cookbook). I only wish that I had known how good so I could make our dinner reservations later and stay to enjoy the cocktail hour. James spent a lot of time drawing on a map to tell of us good...

Made a return trip to Carolina B and B recently. We found everything delightfully the same. James and Susan continue a high level of remarkable friendliness and service. James shows an enthusiastic exuberance in outlining Asheville's offerings to first timers and returnees. Three of the couples in addition to us were back for repeat visits. No innkeeper could ask for...

The owners, Susan and James, do everything they can to make your stay perfect. They send you suggestions for terrific restaurants by email before you even begin your trip, they greet you with welcoming smiles when you check in for the first time, and they are available 24 hrs a day to handle any emergency situation you might encounter while...

We stayed two nights at the Carolina Bed and Breakfast but wished we could have stayed longer. The Cottage is a very comfortable special room that is surrounded by flowers. The morning meals, evening wine/appetizers and bedtime treats were creative delights. Do yourself a favor and let James and Susan make your stay in Asheville something to remember.

We stayed in the Mocking Bird room. The room was spacious and so cute. The bathroom was amazing with the shower and the 2 person tub! I was nervous it was going to be tight but totally was not. We rode on a bike down to Asheville so the tub was perfect for us! Besides the house being so well...

Let's start with the fact that the home is beautifully maintained on the exterior and wonderfully decorated and maintained on the interior. Add the fact that our host insisted that he would carry the bags upstairs. Our room was good sized with a closet, tastefully decorated and had an excellent bathroom ensuite (all in a historic home). Breakfasts were both...

We rented the detached cottage for our honeymoon, and it was perfect! We were away from the main house slightly, but still got fresh towels, our bed turned down, and a little sweet treat every day! Susan and James were a delight to work with. We needed an early check in on the day of our wedding, and they accommodated...

Susan met us as we drove up and she made us feel instantly welcome. She showed us around and then took us to our room. Lovely! We stayed for two nights and loved being able to come back to the B&B after a day of wedding planning in Asheville. The wine and hors d'oeuvres each evening were especially nice since...

Jim is a delightful and informative host, and Susan a great cook. Together, they offer a fabulous breakfast to start each day and a glass of wine with more yummy treats to begin each evening. Cleanliness is a top priority, and the rooms are comfortable. I appreciated that the house is finely appointed, yet uncluttered as so many B&B's seem...
