My husband and I loved The Lion and the Rose! We stayed for a total of four nights - two in the Holger Nielson room and two in the Marion Hall room. Both were clean and are nicely decorated. On a less positive note, we found it a bit challenging to get to outlets near the bed to charge our... More

The hosts of The Lion and The Rose are warm, lovely people. Breakfast was gourmet and excellent. Hosts were very knowledgable about the area and eager to share information. Recommend this bed and breakfast highly.

We visited Asheville during fall foliage season and it was lovely. The Lion and the Rose is in a quiet residential neighborhood close to downtown. We were able to walk to several dining options. Lisa is a wonderful hostess and a fabulous cook. Breakfast each morning was something to look forward to. We also enjoyed sitting outside by the fire... More

Lisa is a wonderful hostess and made our brief visit to Asheville marvelous. Upon arriving Lisa showed us around and made sure we knew where everything was. There is a fire pit in the yard which is lovely to sit around. Blankets are provided for cooler nights. Breakfast was beyond delicious. We had a lovely egg dish in a light... More

My fiancé and I stayed in the Margaret Grace room and loved how ornate and beautiful it was decorated. The bed was comfortable and it was spacious enough for the both of us, and our luggage. The breakfast was fantastic the next morning and we loved chatting with Lisa and the other friendly guests. Lisa was a gracious host and... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Margaret Rose room- it was very nice and comfortable (but the bathroom is on the smaller side) Breakfast was delicious! I loved the coffee available in the hallway - nice to enjoy while getting ready. We missed breakfast one morning for an early hike and Lisa was kind enough to leave us bags... More

My wife and I stayed here two nights in both the Nielson room and the Craig-Toms Suite. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The Suite is a much larger space, featuring three separate sitting areas and the bedroom, plus a little balcony that is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. We enjoyed some drinks by the fire pit... More
