Lisa and Madelyn provide a welcoming environment in this superb B&B. The Marion Hall room is well-suited with plenty of space: a ultra-comfortable queen-sized bed, a day bed, gas fireplace and an updated walk-in shower, too. Close to downtown Asheville in a desirable area, the inn is a perfect location for a romantic getaway. The innkeepers prepare a scrumptious breakfast....

The Innkeeper was excellent. Very welcoming and pleasant. The breakfasts were excellent. The rooms are small and the bathrooms smaller; but nicely decorated. The TVs are tiny and difficult to operate (we never could get the DVR to work. Most B&Bs where we have stayed in Asheville seem to have a Happy Hour, but not here. Great location and wonderful...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review. We enjoyed hosting you very much. You did book our smallest room, which is also our least expensive. FYI in case you may consider booking here again: All of our other rooms have more floor space and larger bathrooms. And we do not have DVR in each guest room but...

I just got back from a 2 night/3day "girl trip" to The Lion and the Rose. Oh my, what a wonderful time we had. The innkeeper treated us like queens and could not do enough to make our stay pleasant. Most importantly the in is beautiful and comfortable. Can't wait to go back

We had the most wonderful stay at The Lion and The Rose on our recent girls trip to Asheville!! The rooms were so lovely and our hosts were very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Our breakfast was delightful and they were so accommodating to our guest who was gluten free. We will return and highly recommend this gem...

This was our first stay in Asheville and the Lion and the Rose was a great location to get acquainted with the city. Lisa was warm and friendly and her breakfasts were so so delicious. (The French toast was a personal favorite). We stayed in the Margaret Grace room, which although small, was perfectly comfortable for two nights. It is...

My husband and I loved The Lion and the Rose! We stayed for a total of four nights - two in the Holger Nielson room and two in the Marion Hall room. Both were clean and are nicely decorated. On a less positive note, we found it a bit challenging to get to outlets near the bed to charge our...

We visited Asheville during fall foliage season and it was lovely. The Lion and the Rose is in a quiet residential neighborhood close to downtown. We were able to walk to several dining options. Lisa is a wonderful hostess and a fabulous cook. Breakfast each morning was something to look forward to. We also enjoyed sitting outside by the fire...

Lisa is a wonderful hostess and made our brief visit to Asheville marvelous. Upon arriving Lisa showed us around and made sure we knew where everything was. There is a fire pit in the yard which is lovely to sit around. Blankets are provided for cooler nights. Breakfast was beyond delicious. We had a lovely egg dish in a light...

My fiancé and I stayed in the Margaret Grace room and loved how ornate and beautiful it was decorated. The bed was comfortable and it was spacious enough for the both of us, and our luggage.
