Unfortunately, I was only able to stay one night at the Lion and the Rose but will most definitely plan a longer stay in the future. Lovely, charming house and you feel special as soon as you walk through the doors and are greeted by the owners. I highly recommend the Craig-Toms Suite which is entire upper floor of the...

This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of downtown Asheville, and enjoy wonderful local hospitality! The owners were super friendly and the house is beautifully kept. The room was wonderful (just as pictured on the website), the bed super comfy, and the breakfast delicious. Our stay at the Lion and the Rose could not have been better. The house is handsome, and filled with beautiful furniture, art and objects. Although old, it has all of the modern conveniences you could need. The house is in a lovely neighborhood, very near downtown and yet quiet and peaceful. Jim and Linda are gracious and very helpful...

The breakfast table was decorated with a lovely fall theme and the house was gorgeous inside and out. The hosts made us feel very welcomed. I would definitely...

They owners think of everything such as comfortable robes, beautifully appointed rooms, snack and drinks, coffee or tea at your door while you get ready to come downstairs for breakfast, and much more. They were so helpful with choosing places to go and restaurants to...

My wife and I went beck to The Lion & The Rose for our first anniversary after staying there for our honeymoon. Jim and Linda were wonderful hosts, again, and the room, house, and (especially!) the breakfasts were amazing. Very comfortable rooms in an elegant house. Can't wait to go back!

We visited Asheville and stayed at the Lion and the Rose in late July and had an absolutely wonderful time there. The house is warm and inviting as was our room. Breakfast was the best--so much wonderful food I couldn't finish it all. The grounds surrounding the house were lovely, and we enjoyed sitting on the wrap-around porch during the...
