From the moment my sister and I arrived, when Paul greeted us on the porch with a glass of water, the special adventure of our trip began. Paul's assistance with showing us places to walk and where to dine was especially helpful. This trip was a time for my sister and I to relax and reconnect. The Elephant room in the carriage house was perfect. It has a private deck facing east with a view of enchanted evergreens, to see the sunrise through the trees was magical. The attention to details in the lovely linen and hummingbird bedspread was delightful. We lingered in morning conversation and bedtime chats by the fire in our room. Paul is a creative and amazing chief. The artistry with which he presented his four course breakfast was over the top delightful. Each morning we indulged in savory and sweet masterfully prepared meals. The experience of breakfast was only enhanced by the ambiance in this grand mansion with all the details of a perfectly set table with different china each day. Breakfast set us on the adventure of our days hiking and exploring the nature all around us. Thanks!

Property's Favourite Review
Where to begin... first go ahead and hit “book”— don’t wait. You will never find better service, greater food or a better experience. A 4 course breakfast with a 5 star+ experience (wish I had my phone to take more pictures) leaves you full well into the evening hours- perfect for a day full of adventures and hiking. Paul and Milrlin have been in the hospitality business for most of their lives... they will remember your name, how you like your coffee, which fruits are your favorite in your fruit bowl, etc. Their home is yours. They are your go-to for recommendations- they know Asheville in and out. The grounds are out of a Southern Living magazine, the pool is beautiful and refreshing and your needs are met before you knew they were needs. Dont let the 4 mile drive into downtown Asheville deter your decision to stay at this piece of paradise- you will want to drive about Asheville no matter if you are staying right in downtown or a few minutes out. The few minute drive provides the escape from the hustle and bustle of a loud downtown leaving you refreshed for a day full of adventure or leasure you are seeking. We have tried many bed and breakfast Inns and will never stay anywhere else nor will you.

Wow.... This place exceeded our expectations. We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast... Fearful honestly of what to expect. But the mansion, along with Paul and Jim, not only changed our minds about B&B's, but made us loyal customers as well. From meeting us at the door with water /lemon on a silver platter to making the house so warm and inviting and like your were stepping back into time to going above and beyond making us feel like friends in their own home to the AMAZING four course breakfast to the beautiful grounds and giant porches and views....I mean I honestly couldn't have asked for a better anniversary weekend. And we even booked our room super last minute because our previous plans feel through!! But yet still managed to have champagne and chocolate covered strawberries and flowers in our room prior to arrival. They made you feel special and important as well as long time friends of theirs that they were happy to accommodate and welcome into their magnificent home. We chose this B&B because of the age and history of the home AND because others boasted about how, even though co-vid protocols were in place, they managed to still accommodate serving the breakfast in style in the formal dining room and wondering the grounds/home was still made comfortable for all staying there. And they did not lie! felt so warm and fuzzy inside. :) Jim's cooking exceeded even the five star restaurants we visited while in Asheville.... Hands down. And Paul's love of food and hospitality is VERY evident. We hope next time we can meet his wife, Mirlin, because we hear that her enthusiasm is just as evident. All I can say is.... Thank you Paul and Jim (and Greg) for loving what you do and passing that euphoric feeling onto your guests. It was truly a delight to be your guests. We felt like we discovered a priceless hidden gem in our already favorite city of Asheville.... Because we did!

My wife and I stayed at the Reynolds Mansion on a weekend getaway trip. The hospitality was superb, and the ambience of the place is worth a lot. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the mansion and its occupants over the years (including the Hope diamond!). Breakfasts were over-the-top experiences. Highly recommended.
