After a fairly horrible post-Covid stay at another Hyatt Place earlier this month, I am happy to give a great review to Hyatt Place Asheville. Super clean, centrally located, newer property. Only knock is on the $16 charge for self parking in an area that doesn't really need to charge for parking. Was glad to read prior reviews to ask for a room on the non-highway "city" side and room was quiet at all times even if view was of Salvation Army across the street (and some beautiful mountains in distance). The Montford roof top bar was a gem and a perfect place to wind down after a day of Asheville adventure for beautiful sunset and mountain views. Quick easy walk into town. Would certainly stay again and Asheville is a fantastic town and notably Covid safety and protocols observed everywhere in town.…
We went to Ashville, NC with out two grown sons. We wanted a room downtown so we didn't have to drive. The Hyatt Place is close to everything. The room was very spacious and the beds very comfortable. We could have found a place that was less expensive outside of town, but I doubt it would have had all the amenities. They signed us up for the World of Hyatt membership so we could have a free breakfast with just about anything you would want to eat in the morning. The roof top bar is a great place to have a night cap.We were only going to stay one night, but it snowed overnight and we were not accustomed to driving in the snow, so we stayed a second night. The hotel was booked but the staff let us know immediately when there was a cancellation.
This was my first hotel visit since the COVID pandemic began, and was so grateful for the safety measures and cleanliness that the management and staff provided. They were super pleasant, helpful and informative. This hotel has all the luxury features you need, plus an amazing rooftop view of Asheville with a restaurant that has some of the best dishes I have ever eaten. (Fried homemade tater tots with beet ketchup.... amazing!with fantastic speciality drinks) Very easy walk to all of downtown... perfect location to see everything.
The most friendly people you'll ever met. The location is phenomenal for exploration of downtown or trips deeper into the mountains. We love it! We plan to return next year - and that means a lot with two toddlers!
Hotel very nice. Rooftop restaurant serves good food and wine ;) (Get there at 4-ish to get a seat outdoors but there's plenty of dining space indoors - either provides nice view of the beautiful BR mountains.) Parking just a few steps from front entrance.
