We stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean, stayed in a king room with a Mountain View. Liked that it had a couch, decent tv, microwave, and fridge. Food from the Woodfire grill was delicious, we had wings, a burger, and breakfast. The only thing I could say was shower was a little small, and we weren’t able to access the fire pit in the pool area - but we did not check with hotel to see if we could. Otherwise it was great and would stay there again.
We stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn East Asheville over the Valentine's Day weekend with our dog. The hotel is very dog-friendly though the pet fee is a little high. Staff were very friendly and took precautions to reduce risk of COVID spread. Room was very clean and spacious and the shower in the bathroom was very nice. The on site restaurant is excellent, but very popular. We were unable to get reservations last minute so just got room service. Paid breakfast is available in the morning, fill out the card the night before and pick up first thing in the morning. The location is good, right off I-40 and close to Blue Ridge Parkway. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Asheville, especially if traveling with our dog.
This hotel is great. Have stayed here numerous times. What I love about it, when we checked in Saturday evening the front desk individual "Holly" greeted us and welcome us back. She is fantastic! Remember the name from when we stayed back in July. The hotel really goes out of there way to make you feel welcome and make sure that you feel safe during this we are in. Room was clean and you could tell extra care had been taken with it. Will continue to return to the Holiday Inn Asheville East in the spring, when we make our annual Spring Trip. Thank Holiday Inn Asheville East for being a place that we enjoy!
This is a lovely hotel in a nice setting - just off Tunnel road and it backs up to a pretty hillside so rooms from the back are afforded nice views. The hotel appears to have had a recent remodel and the rooms are very nice. I like that the desk table can slide in and out to give more workspace. The bed was comfortable and the sheets sumptuous - loved them. He bathroom vanity is small though and it was hard for us to both find landing places for all our toiletries. We made a mistake with our room though. We were placed in a room that adjoined to another and that meant a door was in the wall. This resulted in a loud of sound bleed and I could hear many of the words said by our neighbors (a family with children) distinctly. It is my fault for not checking immediately when I entered the room and I will add that to the things I watch for in the future. Also, if you are a coffee drinker, note that they have free regular coffee set just inside the restaurant currently (used to be in the lobby). They have plenty of flavored creamers to go with and we appreciated that. We didn’t eat breakfast here but lots of guests were.…
We had been traveling and happened across this hotel. Excellent staff, woodfiire grill was excellent, awesome mojito...ahhhh. clean room, comfy bed. Nice patio pool area. Everything clean and we'll kept. Front desk staff went out of their way to help us with a reservation glitch. Gets full marks from me!
