I surprised my wife with a four night stay at the Inn on Montford for our 20th wedding anniversary and it turned out to be one of the best trips we had ever made together. I had recently stayed at a 5-Star Resort, but wanted something more warm and inviting for our anniversary. The 1900 Inn on Montford delivered! Ron...

The best 'mini-honeymoon' ever. I'm sure the charm and character of the building and owners will make you want to return! We decided to wait a while for our main honeymoon after having a destination wedding, but decided to take a trip to Asheville for a much needed getaway. My husband surprised me by booking at the B&B at 1900...

My wife and daughter and I stayed at this inn for three nights earlier this month. The inn is well appointed and well located in a safe and historic part of Asheville. The rooms are large. The neighbourhood is quiet. The beds are comfortable. After a week in New York it was a relief to get a quiet night's sleep....

Nice area of Asheville ( but WAY too far to walk to town and I'm a huge walker), the nicest people ever, the funkiest hotel. Guess some get all excited seeing a jet tub, or electric logs but frankly the room (the Rossetti suite) was the most confusing layout of disjointed pieces of Amusement. I love subdued, quiet interiors and...

Thank you for your kind words about our hospitality, music and gardens, high praise for a garden in the early spring. We agree with the reviewer about the seating in the private gardens, the gravel is an issue. The small garden areas need special attention every spring, which includes resetting the gravel. A more difficult task than would first appear....

I have seldom felt so cherished, and cared for, as I have at the "1900 Inn at Montford". I could not have asked for a better vacation. The breakfasts were exquisite, my room was so very comfortable and beautifully done. The Inn itself is glorious, as is the surrounding garden. I absolutely adore Lynn; who, along with her dear husband,...

This is a wonderful place! The rooms are terrific, clean and each one is well appointed. The hosts are wonderful. Even the staff was kind and eager to tend to your needs. They added that little extra that makes your stay memorable without being intrusive. The social hour was great to just meet some new and interesting people. The breakfast...

What a great ending to our week long anniversary trip. We spent two nights in the Fitzgerald room. There was a Jacuzzi tub, rainfall shower, king bed, and fireplace. The room was unbelievable, but took second place to the breakfasts! The innkeepers were very welcoming. They had an evening ritual of wine on the porch, where we had the chance...

My husband and I choose this B&B because it was a few blocks away from our wedding venue and close to downtown Asheville. We were not disappointed when we got to the Inn! We staying in the Zelda Suite which is spacious and accommodating, we did not realize how large it was when we reserved it, it seems to be...

This Inn is very personable that makes sure each guest is taken care of. My husband and I stayed in the Zelda suite. It is a magical unit that is the whole finished attic. Very spacious with a bedroom, luxurious bathroom, tv room & sitting area. There are book cases with a variety of books that you can parooze through...

I thought about this for a while before I decided to write a review. I usually get annoyed when I see people have written a review and have not stayed at the property. People have unrealistic expectations and most Bed and Breakfast properties or Inns have strict cancellation policies. This is why (thank god) I bought the insurance. My father...

Management response:

I am not absolutely clear to all the circumstances surrounding this cancelation. I have not been unable to speak with the reviewer, which would have been most helpful. It was certainly not my intention to be unfeeling or disrespectful. As I recall her father had just been admitted to the hospital for a cardiac emergency when she called to cancel...
