This is a nice business hotel. If you are looking for anything else, use extreme caution as they will not guarantee king beds. I heard the front desk staff repeat over and over about this. When I heard it being told to a new bride I couldn't believe it. As we also had made the king request and I called...

Dear Wjm420 - thank you for the review on TripAdvisor. My apologies for the disconnect with a company-wide Marriott policy. We only can guarantee room category not necessarily the bed type. Typically we do honor as many requests as we can, in most cases the numbers typically work out. I am sorry that in your case they do. Please join...

PLUS POINTS Access from Logan Airport, easy and fast. Hotel ideally sited for pedestrian tourist and business centres. All staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms well appointed and maintained. Views from room, excellent. Good wifi speeds, Hot breakfasts fresh and appealing. MINUS POINTS Inevitable noise from reception level pollutes rooms in vicinity of the Atrium - little apparent effort to...

Dear Mike A A - thank you for the review on TripAdvisor. I thank you for the compliments and apologize for the issues that you experienced. On occasion our atrium design does allow the "white noise" to penetrate up onto the guest floors and disturb guests. The Concierge Lounge is very busy as we have 150+ Gold and Platinum Members...

WE have stayed here several times. We love the easy walk to the North End and it is not a long walk from South Station either, about 1 mile. Right across the street from Quincy Market. Everything you need is very close, plenty of shopping, sightseeing and restaurants. We were down for the Patriots Day parade. It was a fun...

Dear Erin G - Thank you for the review. I do appreciate you taking a minute to post on TripAdvisor. I agree our central location is the best in the city. I am glad you were able to get in for the Patriots Parade, hopefully there will be many more to come. I will pass along your comments to the...

Boston Marriott Long Wharf Was here Saturday Feb 12, for a ballroom dance competition - the hotel is near Fanuel Hall overall a clean hotel but a little on the pricey side- parking near by in garage $39 day or valet parking for $59 day

Matthew M, Manager at Boston Marriott Long Wharf, responded to this review

Dear Davedog14 - I appreciate the review. We do base our pricing on semi-annual audits that we conduct of Boston Valet Operations. Those audits put us in the midrange for parking at a city hotel. $53 is steep, but considering the tremendous strain on available parking space as more and more parking lots are being developed into commercial and residential...

Everything was just right about this hotel. Service was cheerful and efficient. Food at the bar was wonderful - crispy calamari and lobster-cabbage dumplings at Waterlines restaurant was surprisingly delicious. Beds super-comfy. Why am I holding back a star? For $53, the valet service should be seamless. Both going in and out, we had to search for someone to help...

Dear Steeroyo - Thanks for the review. I am delighted you were able to join us in Waterline. I think it's the best kept secret in Boston. My apologies for the issues you had with Valet Parking. I can't comment necessarily on your experience as the reviews are anonymous, but typically we get rave reviews from our valet and front...

The Longwharf is our "go-to" when we want to walk around Boston. Everything you need is within walking distance or a short cab ride away. Our recent Springtime weather made it a perfect time to getaway. The staff is always great- friendly and helpful-they make you feel welcome at the hotel. It was full to capacity, but the staff was...

We took a quick weekend trip to enjoy the food, beer, and sports Boston offers in the winter. We had a basic harbor view room, that was very comfortable and offered great views of the harbor and dog park below. I picked the hotel due to its proximity to the aquarium (walking distance). It is also centrally located for walking...

This hotel is ideally located on the Wharf and close to everything... Faneuil Hall, Aquarium, North End, TD Garden, etc. Rooms are nice but small. King or Double Beds. Doubles are tough for a family of 4, but we were able to fit an air mattress for our 14 year old which made it easier to sleep. Nice indoor pool....

We stayed here for a week while my husband was on business and the place was lovely as always! Beautiful view from the lounge with yummy snacks. Great view from the room with huge comfy beds. Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
