My wife and I stayed at Marriott Long Wharf for our 1st year anniversary. Great experience! My wife and I did a one-night stay at the Marriott Long Wharf for our first year wedding anniversary. Prior to our stay, I called the hotel, to get some details on our room, and to reiterate a few requests that I noted in...

We had the best experience! Grandchildren, family, friends all coming to Boston to see each other and have fun. The Long Wharf was ready to help, guide, be so patient, kind and always with a smile. Reservation staff went above and beyond with all our changes and "wants". If you do Boston,STAY AT THE Marriott Long Wharf!!

Dear Bonnie P – Thank you for the excellent (and emphatic) review as well as choosing us amongst so many options. I am glad the entire family enjoyed everything Long Wharf and Boston had to offer. Hope that long Wharf continues to play a large role with your family memories moving forward.

We stayed at this hotel June 21-23... It was located with in walking distance to EVERYTHING... This was our first trip to Boston and wanted to stay close to the tourist spots and convenience to the airport. We planned a NE tour this summer from Connecticut, New York over to stay with friends in New Hampshire and flew out of...

Dear bgirl32 – Thanks for making Long Wharf your destination for your first trip to our great city. Thank you for the high praise of our associates. I believe they truly make the difference. Boston is a very walkable city so many guests feel that they don’t necessarily need their vehicles. Hope to have you back as a guest with...

You can't beat this hotels location in Boston. It is convenient to everything. We took the water taxi from the airport and were at the hotel in 15 minutes. The hotel itself is nice. Your basic Marriott amenities. However, the Restaurant, Waterline, is quite good, better then other Marriott hotels. I also loved the pool deck which had an amazing...

Dear Alison D – Thank you for the review. I am happy that you got to experience Boston via water taxi – what a tremendous perspective of Boston. Thank you for your praise of Waterline, we worked very hard to keep the quality of offerings and service at a top caliber. New menu comes out this week. I have to...

The location for the hotel is really great, right next to the water, next to the Aquarium, Faneil Hall and walking distance to many sites. Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel is mediocre in our opinion. The staff at the hotel were indifferent and not very helpful. We checked in for two days on the weekend and were told the...

Dear Matt J – Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor and for staying with us at the Marriott Long Wharf. I am sorry that we disappointed on this last visit. The room was comfortable and clean. We walked to and from the North End twice during our stay. We had a nightcap in the Lounge and enjoyed our conversation with the bartender. All of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Dear SeanorLike2Eat - I appreciate the review on TripAdvisor. You appear to be really well traveled by your review history so a 5 star rating goes a long way in my book. The best compliments you can give us are about the staff for they work so very hard and truly make the difference. I hope to have you back...

Excellent location and traditional high Marriott standards. Average complimentary breakfast for gold/platinum reward members. Free wifi only for reward members. Website indicates valet parking of $51/day - OMG. I know that it's high season but the rack rate is almost $600/night before taxes and online hotel sites will only get this down to around $450. The economy must be doing...

Dear Kirbyk – Thank you for the review and for staying with us. We are blessed to be in the perfect location. The $51 rate for parking is in the middle of the range unfortunately for Hotels in Boston, as parking space becomes more and more precious with ongoing real-estate development. We do offer many benefits to valeting with us....

We were told the property was recently renovated, and it showed; it was beautiful. Located on the waterfront, within walking distance to many local attractions. The fitness room was clean and well maintained, as was our room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Boston.

Dear Patrick C – Thank you for the great 5 star review. A point of information: the Lobby, restaurant and public space have been renovated. Stayed from July 5-10, pretty nice except for a disturbing experience with a pool attendant. I assisted another guest who was in a wheelchair by using my key to enter the pool area ( I know she was a guest because I was at the front desk when the desk person gave her a key). After she got in I...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
