I stayed at the Hilton Back Bay for 4 nights whilst in town for a business conference. I must state from the offset that i didn't spend much time in the room as the team and I were eager to do as much exploring as possible in between 12 hour seminars! The rooms are quite dated in the hotel, it...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 31 January 2017 via mobile

There are a lot of hotels to choose from in the Back Bay Area, and we have stayed at all the major ones. They are all close to all of the schools and they are all generally pricey, especially during major school events like moving in or out, parents weekend and graduation. I like the Hilton Back Bay because of...

Perfect location for visiting MIT! Short walk across the river and no worries about parking. Close to much shopping and dining. Hop on and off tour bus is picked up directly out the doors of hotel. Loved everything about our stay!

The previous week we had a fabulous stay in Boston at a rival chain. We were looking forward to another two days in the beautiful Back Bay area. Instead we were extremely uncomfortable in a minuscule room, which had a very awkward configuration. There was ONE low easy chair practically on top of the television. There were two beds, and from...

I stayed here for a convention and it was in a great area. Even though it is not connected to the convention center, it is just across the street. There are so many places to eat and shop within the area. The room we had was a corner room and very spacious. The room is on the older side but...

We have stayed here while visiting our son at college many times. They remember us and always treat us as returning friends. My favorite Hilton. Right across the street is th Summer Shack which is a perfect seafood Boston place.

This is a great place to come for a business trip that is close to amenities and provides easy access to multiple locations around the city. The rooms are comfortable, clean and modern. I also experienced some of the challenges at the front desk described by other reviewers, but thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. My room had a great view and was very clean. Fitness center needs to be updated a bit. Close to a number of decent restaurants and a mall. My overall stay was good and I would come back. Ride to/from the airport didn't take too long. Be mindful of your cab drives taking longer...

It's a nice hotel, very clean but the devil's in the details. First we arrived and after 10-15 minutes of the clerk telling me he was checking for an upgrade, he found a room. I explained that as a HH member, I had checked in and picked my room the night before. He came up with a room on the...

Newbury Street is great, walking distance. Sadly the staff at the reception is inexperienced. They struggle with very simple operations (giving you your keys, using their computer...) and also lie if you don't talk to their manager (pretending that the hotel is fully booked, even if it's not). Also ignore the fact that you'rte Hilton Honors Member... The Sheraton facing...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
