We had a room facing Newbury Street with a superb view. The Newbury Guest House is in a top location. It was a pleasure to stay in this friendly small, well maintained hotel - walking distance from Copley Square (5-7 minutes by foot) and Fenway. The bathroom worked well, the bed was comfortable, the air con good (heatwave when we...

My husband and I went here in June and I had just spent two weeks in Europe, so I was tired. That being said, the bed was great and we had a room in the back which was very quiet. However, the toilet was making some kind of grinding noise and stopped flushing by morning. I called the front desk...

Perfect location! Love having a view from the front facing Newbury Street! Close to everything-walking distance to Fenway! Our room was charming! The only problem for me was the bed just wasn't comfortable-I didn't sleep well both nights and had back pain both mornings. Also, our 2nd night we had an issue with the tv volume-a muffled sound so we...

We were just here for the Fourth of July weekend. It was a perfect stay. We arrived early off a cruise ship and our room was ready when we arrived around 10:00 am. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked and included in the price. The T SYSTEM was easy to use...

My bf and I stayed here for 2 nights at the start of June – we absolutely loved it!! We booked a Deluxe Room and I requested a view over Newbury St, which is what we got. Like others have mentioned, you do hear some noise during the evening, but it was all over by 11pm. There were no issues...

Excellent value for Boston accommodation - very helpful reception staff always willing to give directions. Rooms had everything you needed - includes a safe - very central to the T line which is easy to use but many places very easy to walk to. Plenty of restaurants near Newbury Street - a good one just opposite the guest house is...

Great location, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. The Newbury is more inn than b and b - but I appreciated that. I was in Boston at a conference, and the Newbury was a fabulous retreat: quiet, near great delis/restaurants/conference hotels, and lovely. I would recommend to all. Newbury is a huge shopping street - with Prada, Chanel, etc. - but the...

The newbury guest house was the perfect place for a first time visit to Boston. The location allowed us to see everything we wanted and more by walking. We did take the T line once just because we did not know how far the Aquarium was. Also a nice walk to the ballgame and back. The guest house was very...

My husband and I stayed at the Newbury Guest House for 5 nights in early June while traveling with friends. It is an exceptional location within walking distance of the "T", Copely Square, the Prudential Center and Mall as well as many restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable with an in-room safe and mini frig. On site parking is...

We stayed at this hotel on Newbury Street in Boston for 5 nights end of February to beginning of March, 2013. The location was EXCELLENT and the price reasonable due to a special they ran which included breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. We had a room on the 4th floor that overlooked Newbury Street (which was lovely to look down...

Staying in Back Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Back Bay
Wander around this quintessential neighborhood in the heart of Boston for high-end shops, restaurants, and the feeling of city bustle. Its most identifiable skyscrapers, the Prudential Center and John Hancock Tower, are highlights of the city skyline. Visit Newbury street to explore unique and trendy boutiques – as well as every other kind of store imaginable – all housed in beautiful brownstone buildings. In nice weather, restaurant patio seating is packed with Bostonians and tourists alike soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the food. Commonwealth Ave offers a beautiful stroll down residential tree-lined streets. Keep walking towards the Charles River and enjoy a beautiful view by the water. In warmer months, people run and bike on paths running along the esplanade, and sail and kayak on the Charles River. Boylston street, also full of shops, bars, and restaurants, is the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Head towards Copley Square and check out the Boston Public Library, which is particularly beautiful from the Dartmouth street entrance.
